Sara. Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Not sure if this has already been posted...All 19 pics from the 21CB video shoot are now up at greenday.com.thanks
greenbear Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I was just listening to a local radio station, XFM Manchester, in the car when East Jesus Nowhere came on (unedited, I think) and the presenter than said it was Green Day's new single and would be released on October 11th!! He was definitely playing it as a new release and asking for opinions on it.Obviously he's behind the times with 21st CB but it does make me think that EJN was supposed to be the single but has been changed - and no-one's told him.
American Basket Case Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 @poisonoak & SaeldYou're welcome, but I totally missed the fact that they were already in GDA's Pic Vault.

greenbear Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 That made me feel about for him Maybe ejn is just the new single in the UK, i think the singles depend of the countryI don't think it would be different in different countries. Has it ever been different before?
saffy Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I don't think it would be different in different countries. Has it ever been different before? When know your enemy was released as single, in spain the single released was 21 guns because know your enemy was way too hardcore for our radio stations
NoVaCaInE! Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 yeah its kinda weird how theyre playing EJN on radios, and how they played it at the VMA's ..yet theyre making a video for and releasing 21stCB
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 lol if it was MY way...i'd be viva la gloria [little girl],peacemaker,RHS,and horseshoes and handgrenades. You know i'm awsome.
stopdrop&roll! Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I'm really excited for the video,I really hope they include scenes from their liveshows.I still wish they would have chosen EJN though...@billies lioness:little girl and peacemaker would be soo awesome (: and I would absolutely LOVE viva la gloria!but that probeably won't happen...
Katarina. Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 If I could chose the next singles, it would be Peacemaker, Before The Lobotomy, Restless Heart Syndrome and Viva La Gloria (Little Girl).Awesome songs
Mari91 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 ok either Green Day is playing with us, or we've miss read the post.it did say their new single 21st century breakdown not their new single from 21 century breakdown?cause this EJN stuff is confusing me
cmrnmrphy Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I guarantee you there only releasing 21CB as a single so they can open there shows with a single...it probably felt weird to open with a non single...My bet is we will be seeing EJN SHORTLY after...

But yes it did say 21st Century Breakdown was next. My guess is maybe they wanted EJN next but they changed there minds at the last second?

Clockwise Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I do really think they were planning on releasing EJN after 21 Guns, I mean going by American Idiots single releases it just made sense. However, I'm actually kind of glad they're releasing 21CB instead. It's a VERY different song, hopefully it will have the impact it should have.
Mari91 Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Me too. But yes it did say 21st Century Breakdown was next. My guess is maybe they wanted EJN next but they changed there minds at the last second?i guess. i guess they are allowed to change their minds lol
GTI Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Me too. But yes it did say 21st Century Breakdown was next. My guess is maybe they wanted EJN next but they changed there minds at the last second?I'm not sure. Seeing as how they just played EJN at the VMA's and all, couldn't have been a last second change. It's just weird how they are performing that instead of 21st CB right now.
Hermione Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Why they would play the far superior EJN at the VMAs and then release 21st CB is beyond me. It makes me think maybe the band have more say over what they perform on TV than over what they release as a single. I just can't comprehend the idea of the members of Green Day looking forward to stirring things up by putting out that fantastic song and then thinking "nah, we won't release that one". I don't think they have much say on what their singles are.

-Billiejoezee- Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 My dad thought EJN sucked.he didn't like the rythm.
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 See I don't think so. I think if the labels had more choice over singles, they'd never have put out KYE.
