I just figured out where they filmed the rooftop scene. It was off Sunset blv. I recognized the Arby's, since there's only like one I can think of in west LA. And its definitely that one.

Also, the area around the filming spot supports my theory of it being west LA. You can see Griffith park observatory in this shot, so it was definitely filmed in Hollywood.

I live in West LA, off sunset. And I'm mad that I had no idea this was happening.

Lame. So close, yet so far.

I was just around there getting thai food with my parents sunday night, asking myself if green day would be filming in LA that week. Damn my luck.
