I always knew that this song would become a single.. Maybe because it has the same name as the album..

I just think that it is a really powerful song, I love it so much!

Will be a nice single.. But not just for a teenie fangirl that only listen music through mtv, you know? xD

^I'd join the club! :)

I do love 21CB, though. It's one of my favorites off the album, and I do think it'll be a magnificant video. I'm very optimistic today, aha.

billie joe has always insisted on the connection between each song and the story of the album, aybe we're gonna see the same christian and Gloria of the 21 guns in this video too.

do u expect that?

I don't think they will, I liked 21 Guns and the actors in it but I don't think 21st CB is a song directly about C or G, its not as specific as other songs with C&G in it, about a specific feeling or something or about drugs or whatever. I remember Billie saying about the album that its like a picture of everything thats happened in the last 10 years (something alone those lines). So maybe the video could be like Linkin Parks video for 'What I've Done' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DsmoXP4X_qY)...maybe.

I've never been disapointed with any of their music videos... this one should be awesome!! one of my favorites on the album...

I don't expect it, no. And I hope it doesn't happen either. I liked 21 Guns, and I liked Christian and Gloria being in it, but I don't think they should use them in another video. That wouldn't be smart. 21 Guns worked well; they shouldn't do it again, though. People would get the videos mixed up and stuff.

The guys have said that the album is linear, but not necesarily conceptual, so I think bringing C and G back again would contradict that. And what would C and G do? It would just be weird.

I don't know what the video is going to consist of. It's such an open song; there are so many possibilities, and I'm so curious/anxious/excited as to what it's going to look like.

Even though I'm not very fond of Marc Webb.

i'm hoping for some unreleased b-sides.

Good choice, though I was convinced it would be EJN.

21CB is such a great song, I can see the 3 different tempos appealing to lots of people.

What I'm hoping for now is the next single being RHS, and then EJN as a final single.

I'm not sure I can see them releasing East Jesus Nowhere in the future now. It seems like they must have been planning to release it, considering the amount of times they played it on TV etc. In June Tre Cool said this about East Jesus Nowhere:

"I think it's a pretty new record and I don't think people have really dug into it enough yet. Once we get that song rolling as a single, and I hope it's a single, we will be able to piss people off a little better then."

I agree, Tre! But if he thought that then, why aren't they releasing it now? It feels to me like maybe the label was too afraid to put it out and don't want it as a single. I hope I'm wrong though.

Well, they've also played 21st Century Breakdown a lot...

Yeah of course, they've played 21st CB a lot on tour but that's to be expected with a title track. But when the album first came out they performed EJN on TV several times, and TV is where potential singles are usually played. It's even on Green Day Rock Band. They totally hyped it up to be a single :P

 They did the same thing with 21stCB, as far as I recall. The only place I can think of where EJN was done was Letterman and, as you mentioned, Rock Band. :)

Oh, I agree with you, btw, I think the label chickened out...

I wonder how Marc is going to interpret this song into a video?

Hmm....
