norcalgreendayfan Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 it's okay... :/ Lol yes a certain mod told us EJN was next. personally,i've noticed that, green day always has like 5 singles for each album. so we have 21st CB,KYE,21 guns and two more spots.its gonna be two from :EJN static age,or american eulogy. :/I could see this as an album where we get six singles
mechanicalman Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I hope the video's as enthralling as the last 2 have been....
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I could see this as an album where we get six singlesI'm praying for eight. :/ *adding peacemaker, and restless heart syndrome.*
jose armstrong Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 cool, but didn't someone say EJN was confirmed to be a "single" and that it has been decided since months? I hope the video's as enthralling as the last 2 have been....lol, the last 2 videos have been horrible, specially know your enemy, 21 guns was ok, but know your enemy was just boring. I beg for a good, non-performance video.
Eirik Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 They haven't shot a video in the Bay Area in I don't even know how long, its time they come home to shoot a videoWasn't the Jesus of Suburbia video done in the Bay Area? If it wasn't, it should've...
heartscollide Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I'm praying for eight. :/ *adding peacemaker, and restless heart syndrome.* ohh man, that would knock everyone's socks off if they did Peacemaker AND RHS.I'm basically happy with any song becoming a single except BTL.Just because it's mine and I'm being stubborn
norcalgreendayfan Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I'm praying for eight. :/ *adding peacemaker, and restless heart syndrome.* I dunno Eight is a stretch, I can't thinkof an album from anyone that ever got eight singles out of itWasn't the Jesus of Suburbia video done in the Bay Area? If it wasn't, it should've...I coulda swore Jesus of Suburbia was done in LA too, but don't hold me to that I could be wrong but it just seemed like an LA setting to me
-Billiejoezee- Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 yeah well green day can become the first band to do it. I'm happy with any song to be a single exept christians inferno (its good, but not single material) and LOTG. sorry, but it reminds me of extraordinary girl and i don't like that one niether.EDIT: Lol are you calling L.A a crappy city?? the setting of JOS was crappy lol. I think all california is like that. well not all but alot of it.
Rezurgam Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I think they need to film the video in Oakland or Berkeley for a change, give the video some hometown flavorLol, Oakland with niggas popping up in the background. "Where the crack at dawg?"
Clockwise Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I am VERY happy to hear this. I have faith in Marc Webb......but Sam Bayer is the real man for the job, I'm sure it'll totally as epic as the song itself.
Robin105 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 I'm actually kind of glad EJN isn't going to be the next single. Plus how do you all know if it even is going to be a single. This is what happens when you get your hopes up. You get all excited and then it turns out to be something else. I'm not getting my hopes up for anything. I'm just living day by day. Sorry to be so negative but I hate when people think there know it alls. To tell you the truth I'm starting to think EJN is not going to be a single. So many people are religious and I can see some of these religious bastards complaining. In the US that is. I don't think other countries are like the US when it comes to religion
04rebhop Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Nice! Will be interesting to see. My guitar teacher was called Marc Webb! I dont think hes become a director in a few weeks though.
HB KID Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 That's sounds great. I can't wait to see it!!!

The Disappearing Boy Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 i still say that RHS or static age would be a better single than ejn.
heartscollide Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 whoa not ejn.but i love this song ^_^ i wish theyd bring sam bayer back thoughyes!he was so badass.i was watching the making of BODB. I loooooooove that video especially because he fucked up the film with razorblades and pens etc.
Sarahnade. Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 i still say that RHS or static age would be a better single than ejn.This. Especially for RHS - I'm still unrealistically rooting for that one.
Sunshine2385 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Same here. RHS would be a good single as well as AE
Clayish Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Stop saying we want Sam Bayer back.JOS and Working Class Hero were his swan songs from Green Day.
Hermione Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hmm I still think literally any other song on the album would have been a more exciting choice. I don't know, there's a...theatrical maybe, element to this album that I love. I just don't get that from this collection of 3 singles. Sure 21st CB has 3 parts and is an epic song, but there's a kind of sexy, vaudeville feeling to a lot of the album that I don't get from it. I was really looking forward to that side coming out with EJN. It's really a wonderfully quirky album, but none of these songs represent that quirkiness for me. If I'd only heard the singles I'd think it was very serious - which it is of course, but the humour and quirkiness that comes with that seriousness on the album is under-represented by these songs.Well, I think Waiting and 21 Guns are among Green Day's dullest videos. And I hate the idea that part of the reason for them not going with EJN could be to do with the label being too chicken to release it. And I think 21st CB isn't going to do very well when it's released. But they can redeem themselves for me if they make Drama Queen a b-side
alaniluau Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I was never very into this song until I saw it live in Sacramento. Now I see it in a totally different way. I love it!
