Pretty-in-Punk Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 At the end of East Jesus Nowhere at the Ottawa show...Billie pulled some lucky kid up on stage and "saved him" well singing the final verse
MascaraTears Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 One of the best moments for me was at the Philly show Billie getting stuck in his earpiece wires during Shout. He spun around a few times and finally said in this sweet little voice "I'm stuck!" Don't worry, he got unstuck, lol.haha that was so funny also from the same concert (only one I've ever been to)...-when billie ran into the crowd during KYE and was less than 10 feet away from me, and I got to touch him!! I just love that he tries to make the concert special even for those who aren't in GA. -when tre started singing during KFAD/Shout xD-one moment during 21stCB... the "we are the class of, the class of 13, etc." bit. billie said before he sang that bit that when he started playing guitar again (after "raised by the bastards of 1969") , he wanted everyone to start jumping. at that moment when the guitar kicked in, there was a pyro blast, and the energy in the whole place was just so incredible as everyone started jumping. one of those moments where you really feel like a part of the music, and connected to everyone else who's at the concert... just amazing.-of course, the epic acoustic set... Give Me Novacaine + Words I Might Have Ate = unfuckingbelievable.
TheBullwinkle Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I saw them in Los Angeles on October 9th, 2005, and Jimmy Eat World were opening. Tré came running out during their set and played cowbell for them while dancing like a spaz. It was magnificent.
dolce Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Also hearing Drama Queen at the MSG show, night #1. I had been hoping they'd play it because ever since I first heard it I had been obsessed with it, so for Billie to come out onstage and start playing that... my heart just melted. I'll never forget that.
Tubbie Head Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 I still can't share mineBUT in 27 days.. I WILL
dallasthemenace Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 before i had ever seen 'em live (ALL those years ago...) the best live moments for me were watching woodstock '94 and jaded in chicago, over and fucking over.. learning to play drums by watching tre...then i saw 'em on dec 7 '95 and shit was never the same....
Jesus*Of*Suburbia Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Probably when he looked right into my camera while singing SHE. That was amazing but the whole show in itself was amazing.
brainstews Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Getting pulled up on stage at the Phoenix,Az show to sing part of Longview! Amazing experience that will never be topped, and I got to go out stage diving! 9th time seeing the band, never get tired of it!BTW if anyone got a shot of me on stage, could you get in touch?
Nimrod99 Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I have two moments that really stick out for me. The first was during the Nimrod tour and I was in this tiny club/bar and my long jean jacket that is prett ratty got thrown onstage and Billie picked it up and put it on and then said "Nice jacket, I think I'll keep it". The second moment was also during the Nimrod tour, but at a different show, and the whole KFAD "tradition" at that time happened... I wasn't sure if I wanted to point and laugh, or die from embarrassment because my dad was standing next to me. But I have also had a ton of memories that I'll never forget, although the two I mentioned are the most memorable for me.
xXNemoXx Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Mine was probably when he's like in such a matter of fact voice "Everybody make fucking noises, like you're having sex" And then he goes on moaning and put the mic stand between his legs and started jacking it off haha the security guards were all talking to eachother as he was doing it and then he spit and then starts choking and in this really ragged voice he's like "I got a hair in my mouth!" then he blew kisses and said "Nothing but class, baby!"And then he's all like MINNESOTA WOO! And he said Winnesota and admitted it haha. And He play Minnesota Girl right before Good Riddance. And when they played "Lets Go Crazy" cause when they were warming up he said he wanted to play the song and he was asking people what the lyrics were so he could play it. And sometimes BJ didn't even sing the right lyrics. Oh and the drunk bunny was also pretty amazing. It was my first Green Day concert, I was finally able to go and by myself cause my parents wouldn't take me.Now THAT was a sweet time.
