Soroush Posted August 29, 2009 Posted August 29, 2009 I think these 2 pages of LA times aare talking about the albums that ae legible or have the chance to be nominated not win, but the ones that will be nominated have the chance to win.but I'm sure Taylor swift or Kanye west won't be against the nominees.21st century breakdown wasn't as great as AI to us.but what about the grammies?I think billie joe's song writting skills is shining brightly on this album.my father is a 60 year old man but he believes this one is much better than AI and sometimes listen to it. I gusee these are gonna be nominees:U2,Ladygaga(maybe).Green Day,witney houston and allen toussaint. and winner will be Green Day or witney houston for sure

They do have a pretty big chance at winning Best Rock Album and quite possibly Album of the Year at the Grammy's. If Kanye wins Album of the Year, I am going to be so pissed. 808s and Heartbreak was probably the shittiest thing he's ever done. Going to say that Lady Gaga might actually have a chance and Whitney Houston too but that's Whitney.Nobody remembers anything from the 2007 VMAs but Britney's perfomance. If Green Day rock, which we know they will, their performance will be what's remembered. A VMA would be icing on the cake.

But one that could be definitely become reality remember last year when they were presenting the album of the year grammy, Billie said see you next year! I mean, yeah, she's popular, but there's no comparison when comparing her music to the others that will most likely be nominated.Sure, American Idiot did sell millions of copies and did get a new wave of fans interested in the band, but it was also a fantastic record - that is why it won 2 Grammys. It has little to do with how popular it was, I think. It's not like it's the Teen Choice Awards!Raising Sand by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss won Album of the Year last year, and that wasn't some hit record or anything.

All those "who will win!" articles!Yeah, plus the album has been out for 15 weeks. Only. It's really not that long of a time...well, especially after waiting five years. Haha. Plus Green Day has thousands of fans attend their concerts in every city around the entire world...I think they're pretty popular. Record sales don't always mean everything either. (especially with the amount of people who just download off limewire, etc)
