Hanner Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Good Riddance- my dad put this song on a mix tape for my mom during their divorce when i was about 9 or 10. i listened to this tape so much it broke. and this was my favorite song on that tape, so it always reminds me of those times, but its still one of my all time favorite songs. and its what got me into Green Day. it makes me cry sometimes.WMUWSE- when this came out i had just learned that my brother would be going to Iraq at then of September, so this song kinda became a favorite.FOD/Platypus- these songs are the best when im mad. FOD especially cuz it basically describes my feelings toward my old best friend exactlyEJN- cuz i fucking hate religion and this is basically a big Fuck You so it makes me feel happy hahah and a lot more, but whatever....

Raychul Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Give Me NovacaineWhatsernameGoing to PasalacquaAnd lately I've really been falling in love with Modern World. I really love that 'sneer', I guess you could call it, in Mike's voice.Oh yeah and my personal OG's, F.O.D. and Having A Blast
Eva Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Jesus of Suburbia, for sure. Wake Me Up When September Ends is another one, along with Boulevard of Broken Dreams. If you're wondering why it's all American Idiot, it's because I pretty much grew up on that album
Malleus Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Hold On, Macy's Day Parade and Waiting are three really influential GD songs to me. They just helped me through tough shit.
Berkeley Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 It depends on what kind of situation I am in. It has been Redundant and Whatsername when I was in love and we didn't came together 'cause in the end it didn't fit between us. Glad it's been a while since that ... Since more than half a year now I'm more related to Coldplay than Green Day – you can boo me if you feel like it –, so actually I don't really have a Green Day song that's influental to me at the moment. If I have to pick one though, it definitely would be ¡Viva La Gloria!. It's hard to explain why.
Brigister Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 Only Of You was, like, the song in which I poured all my sorrow, 'cause I felt it so close to what I was. Waiting was also a good handhold for me.
