They became pals quickly. They dined at the Ritz, Freddie payed the bill, Billie tasted the wine. Billie took him back to his house, everything was fine. Freddie speaks of this experience in the song 'Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy' which has the lyric "I can serenade and gently pull on your heart strings." Billie was recalling those good old times when writing 'Peacemaker,' and realized how awesome the word serenade is, so he put it in the song, "Death to the girl at the end of the serenade."Yay.
