Sometimes I wonder if people actually listen to the music they spew about, because, --and don't kill me for this--, Dookie isn't their best album. Granted it's a great album with great songs, I think they have gotten better and have really earned all they have: awards, fans, money, and the knowledge of being amazing artists. This kid just wants to jump on the "GRRR GREEN DAY SUCKS LOLZ" bandwagon just like every other person. Funny how it used to be the opposite. Oh well...geniuses are never understood in their time.

Not only, that he didn't seem to have listened to the music, he is missing backround info about the band as well. You may or may not argue about the music, it's always dependent on personal taste.

What you can't say though is, that they are fake. They were always sincere about what they did, not pretending anything. They never claimed to be badass fucking hardcore political punks with a message. Hell, they never claimed to have a message at all. Until they had one. And that seems fine to me.

Why do Green Day always have to justify themselves for not being a radical leftist band, when they apparently just never wished to be one?

I mean, I listened to Green Day when I was in elementary school and...to be quite honest, they haven't improved a lick since then. If anything they've gotten more vague and less "in your face", generalize WAY more, and sound more like the studio they recorded in than the human beings they are.

And how do they look like they keep getting YOUNGER over the years...there's something seriously wrong with that.
