am i the only one who LOVES shenanigans, to the point of count it like a normal CD? xD i mean, i know they're all b-sides, but you have to put them somewhere, right?

^ I love it too, but I just don't think it can be compared to the other albums. Not because the songs aren't as good (because they are ), but just because a collection of random unconnected b-sides all from different years is too different from a carefully put together album. Doesn't count I say

Separated into 3 groups of similar goodness, just to be accurate . Stop Drop And Roll would be in with the top group, Money Money 2020 would be in with the bottom group. But all are wonderful.

I intertwine 1-3, though. Right now I'm in the 21CB mood.

1. 21st Century Breakdown. It's, in my opinion, the best Green Day has ever created. The writing, the music - everything is absolutely incredible, and so diverse. You can tell the guys really pushed themselves with this one (although they do that ALL the time), and their work really paid off. They should be proud of it, I think it's the best record they've ever made.

2. Warning. Because, again, it's very diverse. Warning is an amazing album, it is sorely underrated.

3. Kerplunk. Christie Road, Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?, No One Knows, 2,000 Lightyears Away... need I say more? Freakin' awesome!

4. American Idiot. This album gave Green Day the recognition they deserve, whether fans from way back like it or not. They reached success, and they work their asses off, so I don't see why anyone wouldn't be happy for them. This album is just a masterpiece, and it's what got me into the band, which, in turn, introduced me to a world of great music that I had been missing. Without AI, I would not be the same person, period.

5. Nimrod. On this CD lies some of Green Day's most awesome songs, including one of my all time favorites, Scattered.

6. 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours. It's amazing how young the guys were and they were putting out music this great. This isn't 6th on the list because I don't like it - it's only because I didn't want any of the CDs to be tied!!!

7. Insomniac. It's a great, solid album with some standout songs, but IMO, it's not Green Day at their absolute best. They're not a great band, they're an incredible band.

8. Dookie. I realize how popular it was and still is, and while a lot of really awesome songs came off this album, as a whole it's not my favorite.

9. Shenanigans. It's a really cool album, but just a mix of B-Sides. It's fun to listen to!

Note: There is not one song or album that Green Day has put out that I truly DON'T LIKE. It was really hard to rank anything below #1!!!!!
