It's worth it. :)

I bet it is! But there's no way in hell I'd be queueing outside the O2 before 6AM....it's parallel to Sheriff st which is possibly one of the dodgiest places in Dublin and there's not much else around

I live not far from the LG Arena in Birmingham, so i plan to get there at around 9-10am and so that means waiting around 9-10 hours. Uch! I have not thought about dinner and such.

Just bring something with you :)

I have to bring my bag to both shows

I just hope it doesn't get lost in the crowd somewhere!

Me and my friend are going down the morning before the show in October.

I waited 10 hours before the green day show in oslo. it was only 5 people in front of us when we came. but after many hours they removed the line and it suddenly came a lot of people in front of us. we had been waiting there all the day and then we stood in the line with people that just had come :othat was annoying.

Oh really?? God just 5 people??? When I went there was around 50 persons and some people were 3 days waiting the organization divided all of us in 5 lines and I was in the line 3 with the number 13 so when I entered there were 13 persons for each line anyway I ran too much and I get the front row in the catwalk

At the show in london on Friday me and my friend were at the arena at about 2pm, we went to check out the line for the arena, which is in the main complex (the O2 is basically a shopping mall with an arena in the middle) and it was pretty much non existent. So we went to the pub and pretty much stayed there til 6.30. Went to join the line when they started letting people in and still managed to get to the front. I just don't have the resolve to be in line for hours on end.

i waited for like 6 hours i guess and half of the time it was raining... though it was totally worth !

Well...when we got there, there wasn't a line per se. Just people sitting down around the building, but we were sitting right next to the doors. So, when it was almost 6:30, people starting standing up and creating some sort of line, but it wasn't that long at all. My friend and I were all the way at the front, holding onto the handles of the door. :woot: lol

So...when the doors opened, we had to get scanned by the metal detector and then my friend and I rushed to the table where you get your wristbands, and then rushed to the stage. We were like...in second row at the end of the catwalk, and there was hardly anyone there.

Obviously, no one was in the seats yet, because they have an assigned seat, and I'm guessing there was only...50-100 people in the standing area. So yeah, we were really far up there.

And yeah, I'm DEFINATELY going to see them again next summer. =)

YAY I'M THAT FRIEND.

So, yeah, her story is the same as mine. We waited for quite a while.

On Friday I got there at midday, so 6 1/2 hours. Except I wasn't really waiting 6 1/2 hours at all! When I got there fantastic GDCers were saving a place near the front, but there were hardly any people there anyway. I was very surprised by how few people got there early. Then throughout the day we were free to leave the queue whenever we wanted for the toilet or to sit in the pub because there was always someone there saving our place. It didn't really seem like "waiting" at all.

Yeah it was a long wait!! But soo worth it, and we passed around a guitar and sang Green Day so it was fun :)

I queued for 8 hours and 15 minutes and it was so worth it. It was freezing but at least it didn't rain :D

At the Vegas show, my friend and I waited 8ish hours or so. Totally worth waiting all that time, and time really flew by.

I got there at like 11:30 on Saturday ready for a day long wait that I was going to wind up hating, and it wasn't like that at all XD we waited for a couple of hours for wrist bands and to be numbered, then were free to leave until like 6:30. We were in the first 100 and got barrier.

Personally, about 7 hours.

But my friend has waited in line for the show at the Glasgow SECC for over 30 hours. That is dedication right there.

I waited for 7 hours on Tuesday. I would wait for longer though :)

I waited 6 hours yesterday on my own for the Birmingham show. My parents wouldn't let me get there any earlier and there wouldnt have been much point anyway, because there wasn't that many there when i got there.
