How do you guys have any energy left at night for the show, man?

I mean, standing/sitting on cold concrete for twelve hours or however long has gotta take a toll on you. I don't think I'd ever be able to wait any longer than a couple hours ... I'd probably pass out from exhaustion by the time the show started. @_@;

Depends where you are and what the weather is and things like that.

Three of mine were in NYC so there was food, bathrooms, and such always no farther than a block away.

Another was inside the venue (Hartford) and there was food around there too plus bathrooms inside.

In Albany there was like fucking nothing but I had a hotel room a few blocks away.

its really not that bad, especially early on in the day before shitloads of people start to show up. me and my friends took turns leaving the line to go walk around downtown nashville a little bit and i left and went to subway and creeped the hotel green day were staying at for awhile, and one of the times like...five of us from line left to walk around for awhile we ran into mike in a bbq resteraunt

the worst part is definitely once youre inside and you have to sit down on the floor waiting for the show to start.

You sit on the floor inside? :/

over 12 hours for Foxboro Hot Tubs

6:45 am to 8:00 pm

First in line baby!

^

Same here :D It was kinda unnecessary too as the queue didn't start to form properly until the afternoon. Ah well, it meant I had a direct spot right infront of Billie's microphone!

Me too!

Being right in front of him was awesome!

I totally didn't think seeing them as Green Day could get any better. Like I didn't think they could top it...cause I was so close...

BUT MAN I WAS WRONG!

LOL

you HAVE to see them live. thats how i got into them - saw them supporting my chemical romance. seen them 3 times now and every single time they have put on a crazy and unique show, they always make it fun and meet all the fans. best live band i have ever seen.

I voted 6-8 hours 'cause so far it's the right answer, but I plan to wait more than 12 hours soon...

I don´t have to wait cuz I´ve got seats... though I would´ve wanted to stand..and jump :D

You sit on the floor inside? :/

yeah, whenever you first get in there. or at least thats what we've had to do both times ive seen green day. you go in, get your spot, and sit on it. then a few minutes before the opening band comes on they tell everyone to stand up.

Yep, same here! Just before the opening band started to play, they didn't tell anyone to stand up either times I went, but if you don't stand up, people mumble about how you're taking up too much space, and how they could be closer sooner if you were standing ...

Happened to me, anyway.

That's so strange. I've only ever once been told to sit on the floor at a gig. As soon as they told everyone to stand up, we all just surged forward and pushed to the barrier. It was horrible because everyone was totally squashed. I prefer when you just get in and stand.

about 12 hours with one of my friends.

she actually stayed over night for us to get front row at this tiny place (300 people)

for fall out boy.

I'm not a huge fob fan so I kinda felt bad for the people who really really wanted to see them...

oh well.. :D

17 years is a long time to be standing in a queue.

I got there last time about 3 and a half hours early (still got front row to all you crazy people waiting 12 hours  ). Waiting in line is always a blast because of the people you meet. In Atlanta I was there for an early birthday present and the couple next to me insisted we have a birthday drink together. I know people have shared alot more at Green Day concerts, but that was just the coolest thing to me... especially since the guy was going to be a lawyer and would probably prosecute people for that kind of stuff one day. :D

Apparently, my dad's been waiting in a queue to get bread for the past 17 years so I guess it happens....

Dammit! Our venue has 3 initial lines, that then will turn to into 6 lines! The insanity!!! Damn people taking away the advantage of being first!

We take the train to Oslo in the morning, so we have to just walk around in the city for a while so i'll be there early! :D

Omg, i'm going with my father ... He will probably freak out more than i will

Why 6?

Our one has three separate queues at different entrances, two for standing and one for seating. I'd kind of prefer to be all in the one queue because then you'd know if you were going to be first in :/
