I waited 14 hours..

O_O

From like 5 in the morning, til The Bravery came on at 8-ish.

lmfao

But it was worth it.

Cause I got my epic 45 seconds of fame.

Tickets to my show haven't been selling well so I don't think I need to get there too early. I'll probably be there about 5 hours ahead of time, though.

I had GA tickets at Hartford. Got there about ten minutes before doors opened and actually waited for about 5 minutes. Was two feet from the barricade right in front of the catwalk. And I didn't push and shove my way there, either.

I laugh at those who waste their day to have the same spot. Seriously, I live over an hour away and didn't even leave my house until 5PM for 6:30 open door. Got stuck in traffic, and still got there with time to spare, and got right up front.

You wait for the fun of meeting people and bonding with them, not JUST to get to the front. I met some of my really good friends on line for Green Day shows.

I always walk up to the front of the line like I'm going to ask the people at the gates something and shuffle in right when the doors open.

Waiting isn't my thing.

ahahaha! thats what i do! it totally works!

i have not been to a green day concert before, but when i was gonna bye tickets to this tour i waited two hours outside the store, cause i was gonna be sure i got some :D

When I went to the secret show, I was there at 11:30 and doors opened at 7:30 pm I think.

I got in the front row, but there were only 700 people , so it wasn't that difficult tov get there.

But in october I'll be there around 8:30 am.

wow, i'd be pissed.

i think i'd have to kick your ass if i was one of the people who actually waited in line all day. and i am (or was), haha.

but no, seriously.

hahaha. i always hear about people waiting ages to get tickets to gigs and stuff. even waiting over night. there was this girl in a real groovy store talking to her friend about how she had waited outside ticketmaster for the entire night to get a green day ticket. and i felt real bad cuz i just joined frontier touring and got my ticket presale sitting at my own computer XD. lucky i did though cuz it sold out in ten minutes...

i think 8 hours is the most. when i went to see Less Than Jake's album shows in London. i've never had so much fun queing for a gig as for those Less Than Jake gigs!

Got there so late for the last show, but that was because we had exams in school. I was majorly pissed off. So pissed off, that I lied to a security guard to skip the entire queue and made up fake pit passes. I know that's ethically wrong but there was plenty of people ahead of me who didn't even like them that much so I figured they wouldn't mind :P

For this tour, I'll be going to two shows in a row and I plan on queuing from around 7AM for both. Hoping I can do something similar for Manchester if I can persuade my friend

All these people who've been queueing all day; how did you guys handle the toilet situation? Was there anywhere around you could pop off to?

When I went to see The Rasmus I waited from 2pm, doors opened at 7, and we were the second group of people in the queue. The people in front of us had been there since 9am.

For Green Day I plan to be there as early as possible, probably 8am.

And about toilets, I'm like a camel, I barely ever have to pee. :D

at the concerts i've been to, the venues have restrooms you can use right inside the place...

and if not, you can have someone hold your place in line and find the nearest one since there will probably be other businesses around the place.

this was a problem for me because i ALWAYS have to pee. haha

i was so scared once they let us in the actual stadium and we were on the floor (we couldn't move) that i would have to go. the concert was 5 hours (including waiting time), but i made it!

How do you guys have any energy left at night for the show, man?

I mean, standing/sitting on cold concrete for twelve hours or however long has gotta take a toll on you. I don't think I'd ever be able to wait any longer than a couple hours ... I'd probably pass out from exhaustion by the time the show started. @_@;

Adrenaline

Besides Green Day I haven't waited in line for a long time.

I probably waited only 30 minutes and I got close to the barrier for bands like Dir en grey.

wooooow good stuff! were there people trying to sell tickets there lol? ahaha you must have seen so many random things as people turned up. agreed! you must take all those things, especially water as the effect of dehydration may make you so desperate you loose your spot 0_0 woulnt want that to happen!

Yeah, that was the most dehydrated I've ever been in my life. But it was worth it for my first Green Day show. I didn't notice any people selling tickets, but I did see people selling water when it was hot and sunny, towels after it had rained, and t-shirts after the show, LOL!

I'm hoping that I can be there waiting in the line since 10 am. that means I will have to leave home at 8 a.m or less,

so I'll wait in line like 8 hours :D

And I really think that will make my concert experience even better! To meet all the fans that will be there too

It's something I'll never forget!!

oh yeah!! I'm a bit afraid of that too

But I went to a festival yesterday ( Offspring are NOTHING!!! compared to Green day, and the rest of the bands I've seen.. I'm always like, "That band was ok, but Green Day is so much better!".. haha) and I didn't pee for like 8 hours, so I think it will be fine, as long as I don't drink too much water

At the Orlando show a few days ago, one of the people who worked at the Amway Arena came out and was like "We're gonna be delivering some port-a-potties soon..." after a few hours of us waiting in line. Though I'm not sure how many people used them... right next to the Arena was a tennis court place that had "real" bathrooms. Not to mention the various hotels near by... but those where farther.
