Yeah exactly I will be paying close attention for updates tonight and I have a feeling Billie will bring it up in some form tonight as well and shows have always been his best forum for a rant too and I am sure Billie will do something different when they play LA as well

Yeah, I'll stay tuned to updates tonight.

And I'm sure we'll get a video. I really hope so!

And, yeah, I don't understand why they would use Green Day to promote Scientology. I mean, wtf!? Of all the bands in the world, they choose Green Day.

When I email them, I'm going to ask why they used GD in the first place. I want to know their logic when they made the posters.

^ im afraid to email them, cause even if i use a fake email and name, theres a way to trace ur email to ur ip address (ur computers special #) and they can find out who u are, and where u live. scary.

I know seriously why chose Green Day in the first place this does not make sense at all to me either. There are so many other bands they could have picked I dont understand the logic either hell they could have picked the Jonas Brothers instead for all I care but not Green Day

Haha! Omg, totally. They should've put The Jonas Brothers on their posters.

They would've recruited so many 12 year old girls.

Eh, true, but, what are they going to do? :/

I'm sure if we don't act like total assholes, they won't flip shit, lmfao.

I'm going to try and be as polite as possible. I just want answers, mainly. I want to know why they used them in these posters. I want to know what they were trying to accomplish by using them. That's probably what my e-mail wil consist of - questions.

And I think if enough people e-mail, they won't do anything drastic or anything. Meh. I'm not too worried. I think we'll be fine.

It's not like the are going to hunt us down and kill us or anything.

I hope not.

I know and really the world would have been made a better place since all the 12 year old girls would be brainwashed and not annoying us with crap music like the Jonas Brothers

You can always use an anonymous email service if you want. I searched on Google for one for you, and found this: http://www.anonymailer.net/. That might work for you. :) I've never used it myself, but it could work.

That's cruel, yet humerous.

But, I don't think they should've used any celebrity/musician on their posters UNLESS that celebrity/musician was a Scientologist. A follower could, like, endorse the religion, or something. That's a sick thought; to, like, advertise a religion and have someone endorsing it. Like, having someone famous trying to persuade you to join a religion is a disturbing thing, I think, no matter who the celebrity is. It's wrong. People can find their own relgion - they don't need a celebrity to tell them what to believe.

But, Tom Cruise goes around and blabs about his religious belief in Scientology, and I'm sure some Tom Cruise have been interested in the religion because of him. But, he's a follower. Green Day don't believe in Scientology, and aren't happy with what's going on, obviously. So people really screwed up by doing this, I think.

They're not going to track you down if you send them hate mail, they get thousands of that every day.

You will however, be ignored.

I'll probably try that.

is there any actual proof of this? I cant be arsed reading the full thread. didnt see any actual photos of the posters on Johns face book page.

Ok, its a bit weird, but why all the hate?

They have been accused several times for harrassing and threatening members, who wanted to get out of this so called "church" up to the accusation of murdering them.

My impression (due to what I have learned at school or from the German media) was always, that it is not a religion, but a multicorporate enterprise with criminal tendencies. They use psychological tricks to get control over their members and exploit them financially. They are also accused of conveying a fascist mindset. Here in Germany they are under surveillance by the intelligence service, because they are also known for infiltrating important positions in the state and especially the industry.

Yeah I know just my distaste for the Jonas Brothers showing there.

I agree though they shouldnt have use any musician or celebrity on their poster unless they had permission to do so and they were in volved in the so called religion and let people make up their own minds from there.

I do not agree with just putting whoever they see fit as a way to encourage membership especially if it is a group such as Green Day or a person that has vocally opposed the so called religion

God, this is so weird. When I went to San Francisco I was handed free personality test coupons by a Scientologist. Those people are crazy, Lushotology ftw :)

..Does anyone know the e-mail address?

:D

Wtf is a free personality test coupon? They wanted you to save money on going somewhere to figure out what personality you have?

And, yes. Lushie's rock. ;]

do I really need to ask this again?

Scientology is organized crime, most definitely.

I have disdain for almost all religious groups and think most of them are profit seeking, but scientologists definitely go the furthest to prove that.

Westboro doesn't convert anyone, they just breed.

Hahaa, I guess its like a personality evaluation to see if Scientology is "right for you" or whatever. They're normally 1-200$ which is ridiculous. I kind of wanted to take it as a joke

Last time I checked John's facebook, there were no images of the posters.

But, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't lie about such a thing.

Maybe he'll post some sometime soon. I hope he does.

Yeah, I would've laughed in that dudes face if he gave me that. I'd be like, "No thanks, I'm good." Haha.

Oh, haha.

They are definetly pretty odd, though. I've seen videos and their website and stuff. They organize some creepy shit.

Scientology is more subtle in what they do, I think.

you know something.... I have no respect for cults... and no time for them. from what little I know of this type of thing.. then yeah, we need to protect vulnerable members of society from them. but I`m not going to start sending abusive and offensive emails off just because John says they are doing this!
