Courtney Love talks about Billie Joe

There are an awful lot of assumptions in this thread. I don't know an awful lot about Courtney Love but i'm taking this with a pinch of salt, as I do know she goes over the top. However that doesn't mean she is plucking the story out of thin air! You're all assuming she's harrassing Billie and it's kind of annoying. So he talks to a friend on the phone; so what. I doubt the 'phone call every night' thing is 100 per cent true but then everyone stretches the truth, plus this interview, as far as I can tell, was done on the spot in a bathroom somewhere.

I just think there's a lot of jealousy here.

"This level of fame has been good to them. Billie Joe looks absolutely beautiful. You know how when people get super A-list, their face gets prettier? I think it's perception. It's something that happens in your subconscious. But he looks stunning. He looks like a beautiful girl."

Don't know how happy Billie or Adrienne would be about that :/ We can only guess.

But the point is, after Kurt Cobain's death the Smashing Pumpkins were the new biggest-band-on-the-planet. Then suddenly, 1994, Green Day show up, and are hailed by many as "the next Nirvana". Courtney presents Billie Joe with flowers at Reading Festival '95 (after the success of Dookie), calls him "absolutely beautiful" "prettier" "stunning" and, erm... yeah, "a beautiful girl" (after the success of American Idiot), oh, and now with the success of 21st Century Breakdown and with Green Day being officially the biggest-band-on-the-planet again, she just decides Billie Joe is her new "BFF".

Disgusting.

She did get Joey's age wrong, but, meh. I don't consider it a HUGE deal, but it was kind of funny.And if this is true (which it probably isn't. it's probably exaggerated) then I'm sure Adrienne HAS to know. I'm pretty sure she's on the road with Green Day, so if Billie was having phone conversations with Courtney Love EVERY night, I'm sure she would know about it.

I think, in all, Courtney Love exaggerated. I just cannot see Billie Joe talking to her on the phone every night while on tour. I can't even picture them being friends, but, we don't know. If they are friends, I still don't see him talking to her every night. After a show, I'm sure all Billie wants to do is sleep because of how energetic he is on stage. I'm sure he's tired, and doesn't want to have a conversation with anyone, especially Courtney Love.

What do you mean she didn't care? It was her husband, of course she cared. People have different ways of dealing with things like this. I know when my uncle shot himself I was completely numb to it for at least a month until it finally got to me. and if you read a few pages back, i mentioned that same exact quote from her.

I agree with you completley, though. Courtney Love seems to be an attention whore. Sorry to her fans, but that's what she comes off to be. She marries Kurt Cobain who was huge at the time, and right after her death, she sleeps around with Billy Corgan, and, like you said, the Pumpkins were like the new Nirvana ever since Nirvana ended. I guess when that fell through, Green Day exploded with Dookie, so she found someone else to be interested in.

I've read the conspiracy theories, and have even contributed a fair amount of new evidence to them, and I have my own opinions on the death of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love's involvement / reaction.
