HoneyDo666 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I hope we can get them a VMA, because voting just closed for the Teen Choice Awards and I doubt enough people here voted for them to win one of those.Still hoping.
HoneyDo666 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I really hope they win a Moonman because they lost all 3 Teen Choice Awards to people who didn't deserve them (Paramore for song and group and the Jonas Brothers for album).Friggin' Twilight. I feel like Paramore just screams. And the Jonas Brothers are, well, not in Green Day's league.Get out there and vote people!
rebelrose91 Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I want them to perform East Jesus Nowhere! Everyone in the audience will be rocking out and then the message will hit them and they'll be like "WHOA! That's awesome! Green Day's hardcore!"--hopefully!A wide audience needs to hear that song.Agreed. I REALLY REALLY hope they don't play Know Your Enemy or 21 Guns.
Katherine Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/2009/best-rock-video/Make sure you make an account and vote, kids! You can vote as many times as your heart desires. The other two VMAs that Green Day are up for aren't open for voting, though. I personally don't think some of those videos even deserve to be nominated...Use Somebody is a good song, but the video is just okay, and Paramore wouldn't have even gotten a nom if their video wasn't used in Twilight. :/ Oh, and Coldplay just sucks, we all know that.
Mari91 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 i just made an account and voted!does anyone know how to get tickets for the VMA's?might as well go, its being held like half and hour from where live
Sharmellow Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I think someone here should record their performance and post it here. :whistling:
Tiffx Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I think someone here should record their performance and post it here. :whistling:That sounds like an extremely good idea.
HoneyDo666 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 ^I concur, I don't know if I'll be able to watch it at college, damn work. Too early to tell though.I voted 21 times today, like every day since voting opened!Go and vote! Go Green Day!
Devan Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 Constant clicking on the 'Vote' works for me, you can get like 30 in 4 minutes. The thingy that pops up just goes away when you click vote again. And again.Leave it to me to talk about the most effective voting techniques!
amy_runs Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 What if they cancel all the votes like they did for Kerrang?

.Militza. Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I would love to see them winning that, and getting up on the stage to pick the award, bringing up memories. Is there someone who will tape it?
Freeny Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 If they play EJN, it'll make my life. XD I remember when they performed Holiday at the EMA's '05, and that it was the first time I saw Green Day perform live. It was amazing, and it made me love them even more!I don't really care if they win. I know they're the best band there. And everyone who didn't vote for them will be sorry when they see their epic performance (x
