And on TMZ they asked him what he thought about the Kanye thing and he said "I don't know. I was too focused on Green Day sitting right infront of us!" Haha.

I know how I feel about Green Day's work, but I always just think I am too biased to be objectionable about it. After they won last night, my daughter, who just started high school, asked me why I was so surprised. I knew they deserved to win, but I guess I didn't know if everyone else agreed with me, especially with all the negative comments said about the video (and I mean on this site, where we are fans!). She told me that everyone in her school loves 21stCB - the album, and that Green Day is really popular there. I was more surprised about that than anything. I live in my own little GD world with them at the center, and I guess I didn't realize. It makes me really so proud of them - all that they create and accomplish is just so huge. To me, and to a lot of other people, too. Congrats again to Green Day!! On to the Grammys!! And the Tony's!! It's a very nice little world to be encapsulated in though isn't it! "i will forever be a nerd. wanna watch me geek out. green day was playing at the VMAs and billie asked people in the crowd to come on stage. the “d list celebrity” in me was like oh that looks cool ill stand and applaud. but the 14 year old dookie super fan in me was like this is your once in a lifetime chance to go and dance on stage. look for me up there at 3:56 - needless to say my security was not too happy. great performance! billie is an amazing frontman. i fan boyed out."I'm starting to like that guy (although I don't exactly love Fall Out Boy....)
