jenni Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 yeah, and Im goin to the soundcheck :/ you win some you lose some i guess....maybe you could try to go to the show with some friends of you who don't care about the soundchecks... so that you could give your camera to them and after, when they come in, you get your camera back...
jose armstrong Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 He's not even on here....I know that, genius.I was practicing what I'm going to say
Lauren Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Could I use that, even though I've never even seen the guy? hahayes! I want everyone to use it!you never know when i will be listening or reading... Thanks for the fan club pics that you made...chris b...LOL NO WAY!!!is this a joke?
Lauren Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 yeah, and Im goin to the soundcheck :/ you win some you lose some i guess....don't even worry about it!!I kept worrying about taking pictures in Philly, and I could barely enjoy the show! You might not even be allowed to have a camera, anyway. DC security was really strict. There will be professional pictures taken, along with tons of other fan pictures. just worry about enjoying the show.
drumstick Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 you don't go back stage and get to meet them. you have to sit in seats (well most of us were standing but i mean you can't go on the floor right next to the stage) and you just watch them play a few songs and mess around.you can't go on the floor?that sucks..oh, well anyway...I still want to come into the sound check hey...how many hours you came into the sound check before the gates opened?
Lauren Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 you can't go on the floor?that sucks..oh, well anyway...I still want to come into the sound check it certainly does NOT suck!! you are sitting right next to the stage!! it's so awesome.
drumstick Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 it certainly does NOT suck!! you are sitting right next to the stage!! it's so awesome.ok ok...I know it doesn't suck...but I would just like to be on the floor better than sitting When was sound check? how many hours before the show?

Just 'cause you're in the seats doesn't mean you have to sit down. Sound check usually starts between 4:00 and 5:00.
dookiak Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 They did this for the AI tour also. I was the 2nd person in line, and some guy from Verizon came and took like the first 10 people into the soundcheck, then took us backstage for food and to get our pictures taken (which then were posted on a GD website) and we each got an autographed picture. Then, we were the first ones allowed into the arena when the show actually opened, so we were in front of the stage.

I didn't get any. not complaining, though! it was awesome.Did you know if the guy was Chris or some other person who's not cool like Chris?
Lauren Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I think someone seriously loves Chris I almost cried when I had two stops on the metro and Hunter texted me saying, "I am so sorry, Lauren. We can't hold your spot anymore because they just started numbering people so people can't get in line." because I knew I'd get a bad spot for getting there late. When I arrived, they literally just stopped giving out sound check passes. (or so I thought) so I was even more upset because if I got there ten minutes earlier, I probably could've gotten in. if not the sound check, at least in line with Hunter.and then I almost cried when Chris gave me a sound check pass.I owe him my life. He made the concert the best experience I have ever had.
chris b... Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 yes! I want everyone to use it!LOL NO WAY!!!is this a joke? no joke, remember you gave me the website and I wrote it down.... And I saw Billy give away your ernie and hand it to the little girl on stage who got saved...
jose armstrong Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Chris!!!!as son as I saw a user with that name I came to the threadit's B-I-L-L-IE, btwI almost cried when I had two stops on the metro and Hunter texted me saying, "I am so sorry, Lauren. And I saw Billy give away your ernie and hand it to the little girl on stage who got saved...OMG YOU ARE REAL!!! by the way... nice spelling Billie's name wrong. but I forgive you 'cause you're awesome! (but I still think you should know how to spell his name correctly )
jose armstrong Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 GDC= where the difference between LLY and LLIE is beyond your imagination and more bashing than you ever thought
Lauren Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 GDC= where the difference between LLY and LLIE is beyond your imagination and more bashing than you ever thoughtHe's seen Green Day ... 136 times now? Tonight will be his 137th or something like that. and he still can't spell Billie Joe's name correctly. I love you, Chris.
fashionvictim86 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 You know it kinda pisses me off that only people with Verizon phones can get into soundcheck. I can't use Verizon around here, we get no reception for that even though for some reason there's a fucking store. But still...you're telling me, that I paid the same amount of money as everyone else for the concert, I've been a fan for 15 years, I've made a very successful website/forum for Green Day, plus I've pretty much dedicated my life to Green Day, but I have no shot of getting into a fucking soundcheck all because of what fucking cell phone provider I use?PLUS. IN FUCKING PHILLY I WAITED IN LINE SINCE 8:30AM ON 20 MINUTES OF SLEEP TO BE IN THE FRONT.
GreenDayGummyBear Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 GDC= where the difference between LLY and LLIE is beyond your imagination and more bashing than you ever thought^ lol sigged
