I was wondering if anyone else has got this too? If so do you get to meet the band and go backstage and whats the prize?You get what the letter from Verizon says you get. So far the autographed prize has not been available and am told they will be mailed to the contest winners. You do not get to meet the band. You do not get to go backstage. You (and a small group of other winners) do get access to view the Soundcheck with and a soundcheck party with some drinks and snacks after the soundcheck while you wait for doors to open, at which point you get to be the first fans to go to your seats or the floor.Oh crap, I better mob that bus when I get there.Maybe I will be the only one asking for a guy named Chris.And where does this bus usually wait? Near the stadium, or in the parking lot?Do NOT mob the bus - Chris and the Verizon team are busy enough as it is. If you did not legitimately win the soundcheck party opportunity from Verizon, your best bet is to be cool, be early and have a Verizon blackberry or phone. The passes that are given to people in line are extra passes from the Verizon winner no-shows. Being rude, pushy, or demanding will get you nowhere. Of course everyone wants to go to soundcheck, but it is the luck of the draw, not anything that anyone is entitled too.

The soundcheck party is arranged specifically for Verizon as the sponsor on the tour. Just part of the contracted deal. Otherwise there would be no soundcheck party at all. The people that get chosen on the spur of the moment without being a contest winner are LUCKY!!!!! Can't please everyone.

So far this is the info i've gathered from this thread.Hopefully this will help out a few coming into the thread.-----Verizon is sponsoring the tour.They have a tour bus at the venue.Someone from Verizon comes out and chooses "A couple" of lucky VERIZON(?) customers to go to the Soundcheck.They also get to chill out in an "MVP type" area where they get drinks, a photo, and some Rock Band time.No meet and greet with the band.But, autographed prizes [may/will] be sent to those chosen to go to the soundcheck, with a blackberry phone.UNSURE:Does it need to be a Blackberry?Is the people chosen beforehand?

Lauren Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Yeah I saw that on your twitter! did you have to have a blackberry?nope.well can you share your story?i got there around 4:00 and was pissed 'cause not only did they JUST finish giving out all the passes, but they started numbering people a little while before so the person who was gonna save me a spot couldn't save it anymore. I was really upset 'cause if I got there a half hour earlier, everything would be fine. but I just got my tickets and was patient. I didn't bug the crap out of Chris like most people were and he just told me to stand by the bus so I did. Then he hands me a clip board with a waiver and a pen and i'm like OMG!!! I LOVE YOU!!! and my brother got one too 'cause he needed to stay with me.

And i never asked about the autograph thing. but my dad overheard a dude asking Chris about it and Chris said, "I have all your addresses so if the band signs some stuff we'll send it to you" or something like that. But i didn't complain.and i just have to add... Chris is the coolest fucking guy I've ever met.you get it through the mailit's been two and a half weeks already.is it gonna take longer?

(it was misery, or EJN i forget. but it was green day) and i talked to him for the longest time in the party room. he came over and sat next to me and asked what my fav GD album is and i was like "Either Nimrod, Dookie, AI, or Warning. Its hard" and he was like, "What about Kerplunk?" and i was like "oh i love Kerplunk!" I think he was rather impressed by my knowledge of Green Day music. I think he thought i was one of those teenie boppers who only knew AI and 21CB (cuz i'm only 13), but nope! i proved him wrong. idk if this is creepy... but i still have his number in my phone from when he called me. haha. :whistling:i have no ideai havent even gone yet i still got 12 daysohh. you won soundcheck passes?

Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 So how exactly did you enter the contest?i didn't really enter...i went to a verizon store about an hour away from my house that my local radio station was at, and i entered the drawing and won.my friend did and hes giving them to meohhh. that's really lucky.
