Soo Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 I may have to secrete myself inside the venue 3 days in advance in order to see the soundcheck!!
Soo Posted September 3, 2009 Posted September 3, 2009 Well, I was thinking of going down the Mission Impossible route and dressing in black, then descending from the ceiling on some wires!!
Tubbie Head Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 It might not just depend on the band though. If there is no sponsor for the European dates then there's no reason to allow access into the soundchecks. Or the venues might have strict policies against it, but I really doubt that it's down to the band to decide :/But I think the band should know about that..
Isabel Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 But I think the band should know about that..Well yeah, but he band doesn't decide whether or not to allow people into soundcheck, the venue and/or sponsoring company does. We already know the band doesn't mind whether or not people come in, since it's happened in America.
Tubbie Head Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 ^ Yeah, I know.. I just wanted to know if It's going to happen or not.. I'll be at the first date of the tour so..
Lauren Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 So get there early. have a friend hold your place in line and walk around and look for a bus with Green Day on it or someone that has a clipboard or someone that's handing out passes. or maybe they'll come to you. (which is why i said get there early, because in the US, if you got there early, your chance was better)

But the ones I found are too early, like 2 a.m, or too late like 7 a.m (If I take this one I would be there at 10 a.m.. so I have a problem) xDwill they be doing this in the next leg?we don't know..
Lauren Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 will they be doing this in the next leg? and damn your sig and its messageI know for a fact that Chris is working. (unless something happens, which it shouldn't) however, I don't know if this means there'll be another sound check. and, I don't know if Chris works on sound checks all the time. I know he's assistant tour manager, but maybe they rotate who gives out the sound check passes. and what do you mean...?Yeah, thanks for the adviceI'm tring to find a train/ bus that can be there early enough to be in the front... Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 wait, so chris is working the soundchecks on the next leg of the american tour? sorry i havent been keeping up with this and now im confused haha
Eirik Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 EUROPEAN SOUND CHECKS WERE CONFIRMED!!! just not which dates yetYeah, but as they have nothing to do whatsoever with Verizon, it doesn't really fit in here.

Tubbie Head Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 It sucks that some cities are going to have sound check access and others aren't... It's predictible that the huge cities are going to have it.. And the others are going to be left out..
Lauren Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Might not be true. We don't know ANYTHING yet. You don't know, maybe all cities will have it.
Harriet Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Might not be true. We don't know ANYTHING yet. You don't know, maybe all cities will have it.I hope so. I have a feeling my show won't get a soundcheck I don't like this IC thing. I think it should be for the dedicated fans who start queueing really early.
netty Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 so idiot club members cant be dedicated fans then? strange thing... I went to the last two manchester gigs, turned up at 6 or 6.30pm something like that and there was virtually nobody there. I would have been front of the queue if it werent for the fact I decided to sit on the steps rather than stand by the door.
Juan Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 You were physically there at soundcheck or they played I Was There?? I think I may go a bit if they played that song! They played it (sorta). no words and no mike and they stopped after the chorus
Guest Shangri-La Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Why doesn't anyone remember anything about the American Idiot tour?! I was too young, so I don't know. but I wanna know: was it sponsor then, too? because I know someone who won a sound check pass. but that was in the US. but did they give away passes just like they did this tour? and were there sound check passes for the UK?Verizon sponsored AI tour but they didn't do the soundcheck thing the way they did on this tour
