punkrockerlori Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I was 17. July 4th 2009. It was at GM Place in Vancouver British Columbia and I went with my friends Amy Katie and Sarabeth. Bets night of my life. Definatly life changing!
GreenDayGummyBear Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Sadly enough my first time will be next week about. Would've gone back in '05 but I was only like 7 or 8 so I was apparently 'too young' to go. Plus I wasn't so obsessed with GD then, so either way I probably would've never gone.same, but mines in 2 weeks from today.
Kryssi. Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 My first Green Day show was the first date at the Milton Keynes Bowl, 2005.I was 16 at the time and I laugh so much these days about what I wore. I had no idea where to buy clothing that I was into, as I had no internet at the time.. anyway, that night was the most amazing night of my life... so far.
Mar Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Its funny to see that everyone has posted how it was "The Best Night Ever!" I guess it proves that Green Day is awesome live!Very true, Buster! (I can't remember your real name so I'm going to call you Buster!) I know that while I tend to say that after a lot of shows I see, this time, I really mean it! I couldn't believe how good of a show it was, and I'm worried that I'll judge every future show too harshly based on how good GD is!
Blueisme Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 My first Green Day show is going to be at Dortmund , 10/14/2009I'm very excited
jenni Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 my 2 first times were this year in Paris, on May 11 at Canal + and May 12 at Le Trabendo!!! and my 3rd time will be on October 4!!! and I'm 20actually I would have gone to my 1st GD show in 2005, but the show was cancelled... I was so fucking sad, I even cried
My gf got me hooked on GD Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 It was July 22ND my Girlfriends 2 year anniversary and my gift was these tickets when they stopped by pittsburgh the first time she was too young and her dad wouldn't let her go even with a group of friends she was i think 15 at the time so she is 18 n ow and i am 23 so this was my first time and hers also but she waited for this for like 8 years or so lol such a great show in PITTSBURGH, PApeaceMike
fashionvictim86 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 what is this, amateur hour? just me an nova-caine?Don't be a dick. At least these kids have parents that will let them go/take them. I've been a fan since 1994 and no one would ever fucking take me or let me go, so I had to wait till I was old enough to go myself when they came around on the Warning tour in 2001.I know J'net told me that she's been a fan since Kerplunk, but she's only getting to recently see them.
Naked and Famous Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 May 1998I was ... *thinks* ... 13 ... & there was Billie Joe prancing around onstage in a leopard print thong singing King For a Day I got Billie Joe to get everyone's fists in the air for King For a Day; I still feel special, 11 years later
louizex Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 it will be october the 19th in glasgow! i will be 17, been trying to see them since i was 12 lol
Nova-Caine Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 what is this, amateur hour? just me an nova-caine?If you are referring to me there's no need to have a go at anyone else, I was always into Rock music as a kid, my first gig was Motorhead when I was 13, and being 37 it means I've seen many bands, know this though I haven't seen GD as many times as I would have wanted to. Even though I saw them a long time ago there are people on here that have seen them more in the last 5 years than I have at all.Not everyone can go to gigs, not everyone got to see GD such a long time ago, we are lucky we could do that.GD have a diverse following and I don't think that having a go at people is fair, you get to see a band when you get to see them It doesn't make you any less of a fan if you saw them 18 years ago or haven't seen them at all yet.The music is what it is about.Young or old this band appeals to everyone.Chill.....xx
Nimrod99 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 i saw them on 11/9/95they really played stuart and the ave? i saw a pretty generic insomniac set. armatage shanks, brat, stuck with me, geek stink breath, brain stew/jaded, and walking contradiction (i think).Yeah, they really played Stuart and the Avenue. That show is what really sealed the deal and turned me into a massive fan.
theregretsareuseless Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 hey everyone, apparently a few people were offended by my 'amateur hour' comment, so i'd like to apologize. But it was a friendly poke, okay? I'm not 'having a go' at anybody, not making fun of people's ability to be old enough or have enough money to afford a ticket. And no i dont think i'm a bigger fan than people because i've seen them so many times yada yada. just a joke.
forget_me_nots Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Friday night! Haha, it was my first time seeing them and it was the best fucking night of my life.

Modern Zero. Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 July 13th, 2009 Chicago, IL. I'm completely jealous of all the people who have seen Green Day pre-Dookie. That would've been so awesome to see. Too bad I wasn't even born yet xD The concert I went to was amazing though, so it's all good. =)
g l o r i a Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I went to the show in Hartford, Connecticut on Friday. My first Green Day concert.I got a soundcheck pass. Was right on the barrier in the corner of the catwalk and stage.Got picked to go on stage and sing Longview. When I was done, I kissed Tre Cool twice.I think I can say I was the luckiest person in the XL Center that night.
