Salmonator. Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Not very well done, but you get the idea When I was at the front for two shows, I was right around there. Thought it was an amazing spot.THANK YOU!I get it now. That looks like an amazing spot Is there as much moshing there as the front of the catwalk?
Isabel Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I was never at the front of the catwalk, so I don't know how bad that was, but yeah there is a good bit of pushing where the catwalk meets the stage. Any barrier spot is like that though :/The only real annoying thing about being at the barrier is having people pulled out on top of you. Otherwise, it's amazing!
poisonheart Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 The only real annoying thing about being at the barrier is having people pulled out on top of you. Otherwise, it's amazing!ugh, yes. that happened to me at manchester. there was one song where literally, the entire time, i had people being pulled over my head. i actually ended up giving up my spot that night to some little kid behind me.
Vrock09 Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Personally I've tried to get to that damn cornor three times and I still havent reached the bars yet, but I've made it to the sides of the catwalk. pretty sweet, but floor is always the best. Seats are fun too, if you're like dead or something lol

Also when the security stand right in front of you, so basically their crotch is in your face while giving water to people. Happened to me nearly every night I saw Green Day lol.

Happened to me nearly every night I saw Green Day lol. That was so fucking awkward! If you want to be pulled up on stage, than being of the barrier on Mike's side is the place to be.It doesn't matter if it's against the catwalk, or where the stage meets the catwalk, as long as it's on Mike's side.
Red Lights Flash Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I was at the end of the catwalk, not at the barrier but a little towards the Mike side. It was perfect, I saw everything and people weren't too close to me. Believe me, it's something to consider. It was HOT and if it weren't for the water guns, people would have fainted. In fact, two people have.

At the Sydney show on the 12th Billie pulled up some dude from Jason's side of the stage from what I can remember. I think he does change it up a bit, but he does like Mike side quite a bit.

Hellcat Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 The last two sydney shows i went to, the friday i was on jasons side of the cat work. was good viewing and a lot calmer then being on mikes side the night after.the second night on mikes side i had to get out i couldnt breath at all my chest was crushing into the barrier.after the first aid people saw me i managed to get maybe 3 , 4 rows from the end of the cat walk.

I know what you mean. It's like "Jeeez, do you have to stand like, right here in my face??!"
Sarahnade. Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I'd like to be on Jason's side because it's calmer and I'm fond of Jason, but I can't pick Jason over being close to Mike, even if they crowd is rougher. But I don't know. I'm 99% sure I'm going for where the stage and catwalk meet next show though.

I'd rather be 1st row Jason than 5th row Mike.

I'd rather be 1st row Jason than 5th row Mike.Exactly. I think for my next show, I'll look and see whats crowded the least and go there. I'm not going to go for the front of the catwalk unless there's a barrier spot. I want a side spot next time, even though I loved the view of being at the front of the catwalk...that's the only thing that's making me still kind of want to be there.I'm alright with getting pushed around a little, but I can imagine how much nicer Jason's side would be than Mike's. But I'd rather be close to Mike rather than Jason. :/
Lauren Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 like I said, it depends on when you get there and how many people are already there.
GreenDaymaniac2000 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 i was in front of mike basically and i had very good i contact with TRe all the way thorugh it but Billie wasn't coming over very much.
Mar Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Hmm, since I'm so nervous about the crowd, maybe I should try Jason's side (much as I love Mike...but Jason is great too!) when I go!
Hermione Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 At my show I was on the barrier infront of the artwork that's on the far right of the stage. It was a wonderful view of the whole band from there, leaning over the barrier and looking sideways (or right in front of me when Billie, Mike or Jason came over ). Brilliant view of Mike from there, I adored watching him. Being quite far over meant that I didn't get shoved or pushed at all - it wasn't in the people behind me's interest to push forwards against me, it was better for them to lean sideways to get a better view so I was untouched! I didn't even get hot in there, I was quite chilly. Maybe I felt slightly out of the action from there but my undisturbed view was fantastic, I was well happy with it. From what I observed I think the absolute best place to be would be on the right hand corner where the catwalk meets the stage, it would be the perfect view and you'd be right in the action too. And if not then you'd want to be somewhere on the barrier in front of the stage on the right, the closer to that perfect right hand corner the better.
Metanoia Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 i guess on the mainz show im gonna go ill try to get the spot where catwalk meets stage mike's side.i think thats what prety much the most people here think is teh best right ?
Sarahnade. Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 ^From what I've read, yeah, that seems best. Just a rougher crowd than it would be on Jason's side.
Reject-All-American Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 I think the side of the catwalk is definitely the best spot. The catwalk is where most of the action goes down, usually the middle and the end of it so the side is perfect But I guess it depends who you want to see the most of, because some people prefer Billie, some Tre and some Mike. We love them all, but most people on here have a favorite

Sarahnade. Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Yeah, I hate to pick favorites or whatever but I prefer Billie, and would rather get interaction from him than anyone else. But Bille runs around the entire stage; Tre is in one spot and one spot only, and Mike doesn't move around as much as Billie. I still say I want the spot where the catwalk and stage meet on Mike's side, though.
