heartscollide Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I hate abbreviations, wtf is AWTW?Are We The Waiting
heartscollide Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Ellen is slow. It's only because my internet is craptasticly slow today.
Isabel Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 for Knowledge or Longview he goes to both sides of the scene.I think it really just depends on the night because I was at the catwalk
Princess Consuela Posted December 12, 2009 Posted December 12, 2009 ^Yeah, I was just speaking from what I saw on most videos and one show I've been to
Sarahnade. Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 So, I plan on going to the Hershey show. I'm still unsure of where I want to go, though. The front of the catwalk is a great spot, but I only really want to be there if I'm against the barrier and have something to hold on to. If I go where the catwalk and stage meet, if I get pushed back, I'll still be really close..you know? But the front of the catwalk is such an amazing spot. I don't know. :/It's only because my internet is craptasticly slow today.Aw. <3

I mean...yeah, he could pull people up at the end of the catwalk or more near the front, but I think he likes the sides of the catwalk. The only thing is.....if you want to be pulled up on stage, what if he ends up pulling someone that's closer to the front? LOLOL Soooo.....really, it doesn't really matter where you are as long as you make yourself REALLY stand out, which I think you'll do a good job doing. LMFAO. I say this for everyone. Here's my advice/logic I guess lol. when you go into where the stage is, look around to see where there are less people in the front of the stage and choose that spot, because the spot that IS better is the one with less people in it, which won't be the same spot every time. If you are SO focused on getting that one spot....what if there's a lot of people there? And what if, when you get to the spot you want, what if there's a different spot that doesn't have as many people there? But obviously, technically, there ARE better spots than others. Like...when I went to the Chicago show back in July, I was at the end of the catwalk and I had to step on my tippy toes to see Billie, Mike, and Tre, when they were all back where the stage is. The only time I could see Billie/Mike was when they'd run up to the catwalk, which it is really cool to all of the sudden see Billie up over you, but most of the time I had to stand on my tippy toes to see. Sooo....I really wouldn't recommend the end of the catwalk, unless you're REALLY tall, or end up right at the barrier.

I will stand out mighty well.Do you mean he picks them from the sides of the catwalk?I was thinking that. Like, if I awesomely enough run in and there's a barrier spot open in front of that catwalk, I'd obviously take it. Or if the front of the catwalk wasn't crowded at all; maybe a little less than how it was at our show. But, I was thinking about going to the corner of the stage and catwalk to be a little closer to Mike, so he can see my sign if BJA doesn't, and tell Billie to pick me. And because I want to see more Mike this time too, I didn't see him much last show. It just sucks because I'm short. I want a barrier spot badly. I have to be quicker than before; grab the wristband before they put it on SO. SLOWLY.

I have to be quicker than before; grab the wristband before they put it on SO. SLOWLY.Yeah, well....for the videos I've seen, he seems to always pick people from the left side of the catwalk, but maybe that's just coincidence, because I think he tries to switch it up and stuff for every concert. But also, you got to remember that the show you and I went to...that was in Chicago. I was REALLY surprised at the lack of people there were when we went up to the stage! But yeah......Chicago > Hershey, PA. I'm sure that most of the people at that concert will probably come from Harrisburg, PA. Probably, but I don't think there'd be as many people as their was in a huge city like Chicago, you know? And.....Idk,...I don't think i'd ever want to be RIGHT AT the barrier, because well....I've never been there so I don't know what it's like, but I'm sure that people always get pushed REALLY hard up against the barrier to the point where they can't breathe. Like...at the begin of the concert before they came on, we were already crowding, but when they actually came on, we moved up like....2 feet...and I was standing there, thinking, "How in the hell are we doing this?" and I felt sorry for people at the barrier because they were probably getting squished. I think 2nd row is good enough for me. LOLThat would be hilarious if you saw a barrier opening and ran to it, but at the same time, another girl is running for the same spot and you end up at the spot at the same time and you start having a catfight. lol Get it? CATfight. CATwalk. haha I'm hilarious.....
Sarahnade. Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Yeah, I dunno. The barrier might be kind of scary. I just want it because you have someting to hold onto. It seems better, but yeah, getting squished is bad. I'll have to see.Yeah, and the Hershey venue has a capascity of like 12,000, so it's pretty small. Which is cool. Probably smaller than Chicago.AND I KNOW. I was like, "Whoa, we just went up like 3 feet! How'd we do that? Oh well!" It's just that I'm short, and at the Chicago show, I was on my tippy toes the whole night basically, it was so hard for me to see. And I would get noticed better if I was in the very front, but Billie should be able to see a bright yellow Twinkie just about anywhere. I think I might go for the side of the catwalk by Mike if I can't get in the front of the catwalk. The more I think about it, I like that idea better. Everyone's instinct is to go for the front of it. I could get some Mike action, and he could notice me and such. I think I'll do that if the front of the catwalk is pretty filled. And LOL you are so clever..
Tiffx Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Well on Saturday my cousin and I got barrier on the side of the catwalk but once Green Day came on I was pushed to the end of the catwalk. My cousin completely lost her spot and ended up somewhere behind me and it just looked like all the people behind me were getting completely squished. I was against the barrier. Although I couldn't breath at times and people were digging their elbows into me, at least I had some air and space in front of me to stretch my arms as opposed to peoples heads. It was really rough during 21CB and KYE and my cousins couldn't survive and had to get pulled out. I seriously thought I was going to die but there was no way in hell I was giving up my spot. So happy I ended up at the end of the catwalk because Billie was right in front of us singing to us and stuff. So worth it, but it wasn't easy lol. I think I may have hurt my hip because it's been killing me but whatever. End of the catwalk was a good spot for me. People would squish right up aginst me and throw their arms over my head and I thought I was going to break my neck, but the mosh calmed down later on.
Kryssi. Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I never really had a different spot at each of the show I went to. Every show I was always on Mike's side, I only made the barrier twice... guh. The 2nd night of the Birmingham shows, Beth and I got to the catwalk, on the left hand side but we were like 3 or 4 people from the front and I told that that I wouldn't be able to survive being there. There were some like tall guys behind us and I knew that there'd be a crush going on around the catwalk. A few minutes later a girl passed out almost in front of us and had to be pulled out, that was before Prima Donna came on! So we moved to the right hand side and were hanging at the side barrier until the guys came on.
Isabel Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I never really had a different spot at each of the show I went to. Every show I was always on Mike's sideSame
fev5 Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 I was on the barrier infornt of Mike at Birmingham and only a couple of times i felt really really squashed. It was really good to have my head in clear air and my arms infront of me and to have an amazing view - i didn't really feel ill or too hot. It was my first arena show but i've been to other smaller gigs and never been on the barrier before and for me they were far worse as i am quite short i was just squashed into other people even though there was less people behind me than at Birmingham. Plus i can get quite claustrophobic at times so having space infront of me helped. I remember my sister looking back at the crowd behind us and telling me not too look But i guess how the crowd is varies from gig to gig.
watsername182 Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I was on the side of the catwalk on Mike's side of the stage. At the beginning of the night, I was around the middle of the catwalk but by the acoustic encore I had been pushed towards the end of the catwalk so I was in the perfect spot to watch Billie.
Liam Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 the end of the cat walk would only be good for the last few songs when he does acoustic
Sarahnade. Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I think I'm going to go for where the catwalk and stage meet, unless I can get a barrier spot in front of the catwalk. I just want barrier next time. And Billie does a good job on running around the entire stage, not just staying on or off the catwalk the whole time, so yeah. It just seems like he pulls people up on stage that are near the end of the catwalk, but I don't know.
Isabel Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Trust me, where the catwalk meets the stage is an amazing place. At the first show during 21st Century Breakdown, he looked right at me as I screamed the words back to him. It was amazing!!

Pineapple Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 side of the cat walk on Mike's stage, its amazingBillie sings to both sides and pulled me up from that side so i definitely think its the best ha
Isabel Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Does he pull people up from there? I know it would be an AMAZING spot, but I was just wondering about getting on stage from there.I got pulled up from there, you goon! And the next night, in Dublin, he picked the first girl for Longview along the left hand side of the stage, so it was nowhere near the catwalk. But the next person he picked [Farshad06!] was at the catwalk right where I was, I think!
poisonheart Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 pfft, fuck the catwalk. it's only billie that goes down it anyway. i have my own little spot i always go for, right infront of mike. i get to watch mike all night, get a perfect view of tre and billie and freese.
Salmonator. Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Sorry if I sound like a dipshit, I'm not a very visual person, or very smart but..I don't get where the catwalk and the stage meet? And so the end of the catwalk is a no no?
Isabel Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 Sorry if I sound like a dipshit, I'm not a very visual person, or very smart but..I don't get where the catwalk and the stage meet? Not very well done, but you get the idea When I was at the front for two shows, I was right around there. Thought it was an amazing spot.
