Isabel Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Not if we win the 'get in early' comp on the IC :wink:Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that!Ah I'd say it'll be just like the soundcheck competitions though. A load of people will join up just to avail of it.

Radioactive1 Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Getting to the barrier at the stadium shows will be tough It really will. I'm not holding my breath for a barrier spot lol
Harriet Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 When I went in Rocktober i got to be directly in front of Mike and it was amazing! It's really hard near the front and sometimes i couldn't breathe but it was so worth it. I'm plan to get pretty much the same spot next year at Wembley
Juliette Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Getting to the barrier at the stadium shows will be tough I know but still, I can't imagine not being at least near the front
Tubbie Head Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Aww, it is tough there. I was in exactly the same position is you and after 6 or so songs I started struggling to breathe and said to my friend "I want to get out. I really don't like it" but then I just thought fuck it, I've waited 9 years for this, queued for 6 and a half hours, I'm staying. My friend had to leave near the end though and she managed to survive Milton Keynes (at the front) and said she felt more crushed at Birmingham than she ever felt there so don't feel bad about getting pulled out. A lot of people do.Well, I know, and now I feel like I should have stayed, because It was what I wanted, the time I waited for so long to happen, like you! And I got there, against the barrier! I was so happy, and now I feel like I just wasted the chance I had!! :/ And I feel like I should have stayed! I wasn't feeling that bad, but there was a lot of people getting out of the crowd in the place I was, and the security guards were all in front of me, pushing me to get the others like every minute! during KYE/EJN, and I just couldn't concentrate in the music or even see them! So I just gave up, I didn't want to miss all the songs like that! And got out... =(Ohh... Then people said it calmed down Makes me sad that probably I won't have a chance like that anymore!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Not if we win the 'get in early' comp on the IC :wink:Wait what? Where is that, I can't find it..

Tiffx Posted December 10, 2009 Posted December 10, 2009 Anyone been on the side of the catwalk? What's that like?
Sarahnade. Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 you should go where the catwalk and stage meet... i stood there for the show in copenhagen and it was the best That seems like a realy good spot to be. But does it work for getting pulled up on stage? It seems like Billie always pulls up people who are at the end of the catwalk or so.
Jaymee!! Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 At the stadium shows I'm going to try my hardest for anywhere between where the stage and catwalk meet on Mike's side and the very front of the catwalk. That would be the primo section IMO.
pols4tre Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 It's hard to pick a spot, in all honesty; Billie seems to pick people to come on stage from the end of the catwalk, directly in front of him. When I saw them Nov 1st, I was at the end of the catwalk, but on Mike's side, about 2nd row. It was such an amazing concert! When Billie ran off around the stage, we couldn't always see him, but when he came to the end of the catwalk, it was amazing. We reached out to him and he held out his hand. He was right THERE. I loved jumping to the music amongst other GD fans, knowing that Billie was right there enjoying it with us!(PS; sorry for the deepness!)
Lauren Posted December 11, 2009 Author Posted December 11, 2009 Wow, I didn't know this thread was still alive. That seems like a realy good spot to be. But does it work for getting pulled up on stage? It seems like Billie always pulls up people who are at the end of the catwalk or so.nah i've seen him pull ton's of people up from the front of the stage, not the catwalk.
Greenday_Aussie Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 First night, I was in front of Mike. You wont breathe for 2 hours, I promise that. Pros? You get pics and setlists. Second night I was on the right hand side of the catwalk. You can breathe, Billie will sing at you ALOT. Cons? You'll hand him your shit, and he'll wear it and throw it away Front or side of catwalk for sure.Oh, but where the stage and catwalk meet, is probably the best. You can get pics and setlists there, see everyone on stage, but when Billie or Mike go to the catwalk, you cant see them AS WELL as the end of the catwalk.
heartscollide Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Does anyone know the best spot to get picked to sing Longview?I was thinking it would be the corner where the catwalk meets the stage.but idk. >__<
Greenday_Aussie Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Sides or front of the stage. Thats what happened at our show. Billie picked a heap of people from the sides.
Tiffx Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Do you know if it was more from the left or right of the catwalk? I couldn't see the catwalk.
E!!i Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 I would say at the end of the catwalk because there you have the best chance to get on stage I think.
Miss Hedgie Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Well I thought at the end of the catwalk was quite okay. Got to see Billie up close and see the show mostly.
Minority_GD Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 Anyone been on the side of the catwalk? What's that like? It's always different.Sometimes you get a lot of attention from Billie, sometimes not a fucking bit.Oh, and you can barely see mike at all.Oh and to all of you who said, only people who stand in front of the catwalk get pulled up:I stood at the side of the catwalk and I got pulled up ..
Jaymee!! Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 If you're wanting to see the show as a whole, go to the end of the catwalk. There is no specific spot that Billie goes to to pull people up. He finds the people that look most interesting to HIM.

Princess Consuela Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 It seems like for KYE or AWTW he pulls up poeple who are at the catwalk, and for Knowledge or Longview he goes to both sides of the scene.

Sarahnade. Posted December 11, 2009 Posted December 11, 2009 ^Are We the Waiting. Well, I plan on dressing up really weird, so hopefully no matter where I am, I get noticed and get pulled up or something. I was at the front of the catwalk my last show, and it was wonderful, and I'm still debating on going there next time because of how close Billie was. But the corner of where the stage meets the catwalk is tempting me.
