Gahhh I can't decide!! I was on the front corner of the catwalk barricade for the first show, the exact front center on the catwalk barricade for the second show, and on the barricade directly in front of Mike for the last one I went to.

They were all amazing. I got to hold Billie's hand when I was on the corner of the end of the catwalk, and I gave Mike a high five and held his hand when I was in the center the second time. But I did like how much Mike acknowledges the people in the crowd in front of him, and the band really does spend a lot more time on the actual stage.

I still can't choose, but I'm interested to see what other people said so I'm going to have to pick something.

I know the thing with Billie was nice, but you can't really go by that... because it's not like everyone in that spot gets to touch him.

I'm really worried about this. At first I was thinking side of the catwalk but I've heard it's great being in front of Mike.

Agh!

I was in front of the AE sign, a litte to the left would have been perfect :P

couldn't see the catwalk at all though, but i'm thankful for what i got, considering how late i got there

well at the kansas show i went from inside the barrier, to the front, to on stage, and then back to my spot in the front again... so i have to say that the side of the catwalk is the best place to be, on jason white's side :P

i was at in front of mike at the concert i went to but anytime billie went onto the catwalk i couldnt really see him so i would say the corner of the catwalk that meets the stage is probably the best but then again the best place to stand would probably vary from venue to venue

at first I had the plan to get there where the cat walk meets the stage but I ended up at the end of the catwalk and it turned out as the best thing ever :woot:

so I also went there at my second concert ... and for me that was the best spot I could get :)

On the 23rd Oct show I was alongside the catwalk, and I got crushed in the 2nd row!

On the 1st Nov show, I got to where the catwalk meets the stage, on Mike's side, and it was great. I could see all 3 members of the band, even when they were spread over the entire stage. The only problem I had was when Billie or Mike went to the extreme left side of the stage (left as if you are facing the audience), but even then it didn't matter as it's great in most positions. At times I did get my ribs crushed against the barrier, but it was worth it and I'd do it again - so yeah, the place where the catwalk meets the stage is better in my opinion.

The end of the catwalk for sure. You see everything, but there's still a great atmosphere. :)

I think the right hand corner at the top of the catwalk near Mike is the best. I was there for Belfast and one of the Manchester shows and it was amazing!! Yeah, Billie Joe spends the entire time during the acoustic encores down the end of the catwalk, but sure that's only for two songs. He LOVED the right hand side of the catwalk at the shows I went to, and always had great interaction with everyone. I guess it depends on everyone's experiences though.

I've only been to one show, and I was at the end of the catwalk. It was awesome! :woot: I could see everything, and Billie walked to the end of the catwalk a lot during the show, so when he threw his kazoo, I cought it xD

Yeah, I prefer the end of the stage.

You're welcome :D I'm happy for you Billie noticed your glasses and head band (:

Both times I saw Green Day on this tour I was in the right corner where the stage and catwalk meet, right in front of Mike :) It was amazing to see Mike do all his stuff from up close and Billie came by often enough. Sometimes he was near the end of the catwalk so all I could see was his back, but in these cases I just turned my head to look at Mike xD And the overall closeness to the band was just beyond anything I'd hoped for

I really want to be right in front of the catwalk. Does anyone know if this is a good spot?

Or a good spot to be picked to go onstage?

Well what do you want to get picked for? If it's for Longview, then I'd say make a sign. Then it won't really matter where you are, so long as you get their attention and they see it :)

^ if you mean like the 'head' of the catwalk where Billie does the acoustic encore and all , yep, it is, great spot. And the guy I was pretty much groping (ok, that's not the right word, I know that, but I don't know what the right word is xD) the first 2 songs got picked up for KYE  so I guess it's a good spot to be picked up on stage as well, although it's different every show so eh. Although for Longview I believe most people get picked up from the area where the catwalk meets the stage. dunno

edit: yeah, you best make a sign I think.

You're welcome :D I'm happy for you Billie noticed your glasses and head band (:

Haha yeah I'm sure happy as well for that : D (and wmuwse . it's been played at every show since, except for the free LA show )

Well, I was at the front of the cat walk, and I was obviously pretty happy about that. When Billie ran down, it was amazing, and then watching him run away was cool too, haha.

I don't know where a good spot to get pulled up is. I just think that as long as you draw enough attention to you, and are close to the stage, you have a good chance.

I suppose it depends on where you are. If you're at the barrier then yes, you most likely will get pushed around a good bit. But it's grand :)

When I went I wanted to get to the end of the catwalk right in the middle and I got that spot. I don't think I'd go there again though, I almost fainted numerous times and near the end I really was starting to not enjoy it, I knew someone at the side and she said it wasn't as bad as the catwalk looked. And none of our area got sprayed with any of the water gun, Billie just did it all to the sides. And I got told by someone who'd gone to every date go to the catwalk but be prepared to be VERY crushed and my god, was I crushed. But it was amazing to see Billie like half a metre in front of me. omg

Next time I think I'll try and get to Jason's side.

I wanted to be in the SL corner near Mike but ended up a little further up the catwalk which was a bit of a shit spot tbh, though I was nearly on the barrier so it was okay :P I guess I got lucky in that I got pushed up the catwalk as it went on so that by the end I was right in the middle at the end directly in front of Billie for his acoustic solo bit  Definatly a good spot.

Thanks you two. I think that's where I want to be. And all I want to get onstage and hug

/kiss

all of them, so I think I'll just make an eye catching sign. I'm so ready for the next leg of the US tour!

Yeah, you need to be pretty hydrated if you want to be in the pit and survive, haha. I learned the hard way. I was so anxious, I didn't eat much all day and spent the day waiting in line with one water bottle I didn't finish because it got really warm because it was a hot day in July. Right when I got in the car afterwords, I puked on myself. And since I hadn't ate anything, it was all water. I walked around the hotel looking like I pissed myself.

I saw Taking Back Sunday last month, and the pit was way more crazier than GD's, but I had ate, drank, and was chewing gum, so I was much better then. Still got kind of lightheaded though, but I've had trouble with fainting all my life.

At the GD show, Billie squirted me right in the face with the water gun, and I couldn't see thanks to that, but I didn't want to wipe it away because it felt so good.
