I agree with you all about when the doors open. I got so nervous in Birmingham in the hour before doors opened. they were organsied with tickets and wristbands though - it was all done before the doors opened. I was power walking to the stage; why are the doors always sooo far away from the stage! I got at the side of the runway though. I think the best spot would probably be where the stage meets the catwalk though.

I've been at the front of the catwalk and Mike's corner. I liked them both, but I think I'll be trying for Mike's corner again this summer.

We didn't have wristbands in Belfast but oh my God, the walk from the doors to the stage seemed to last forever!!! All the security guards were like "Don't run!!! Stop running!!!!" going mad at people. But I was there going "You don't understand!! I have to get to the front!" And all I could think about was the people walking be me reeeeeeally fast. I was like "They CANNOT get ahead of me!"

I lost ALL of you when the doors opened in Belfast. It was so fucking stressful.

Thank god we had decided on a place to stand or I never would of found you guys.

eek that's seriously one of my worst fears!

in melb there were only two doors for GA1 and once they let us in we had to walk slowly down these stairs, and they made us stop at the bottom where we could see the people coming in from the other door and they let us enter the actual floor at the exact same time. that was a pretty good system.

Wow, you guys had stairs?

We were just let in one at a time threw these giant hallway things. And the other GA line on the other side of the arena was let in as well.

The only waiting we did was outside the doors. I'm actually really surprised I got my exact spot that I wanted but I guess most people just naturally go for the end of the catwalk.

And the line that I lined up in was on Jason whites side so when I was manically power walking I had to completely turn around and cross over

And standing up(we had to sit down as soon as we got our places which was really nice) was really stressful too, we had to sit down on the floor, not the barrier(hard to explain) so there was this massive gap between me and the actual corner.

But man does it look cool from the stands when everyone stands up. I was in the stands the night before, and a whole lot of people standing up and grabbing for the barrier was so intense.

Okay I'll stop rambling now

It really depends but i'd say the corner where the cat walk meets the stage.

oh god yes we had stairs.

we had to line up outside the arena at the base of a massive set of stairs. and they took tickets and gave out wristbands at the bottom of the stairs and then you walked up (got screamed at for running) and then went to whichever door you wanted (there were 2 for GA1 and you could go to either) and then you had to sit down in line at the door. and then wait for 45 minutes. then they let you through the door into the actual arena and walk down the stairs in single file with our arms in the air to show our wristbands. and there was a security guard leading so you couldn't run. and then you walk onto the actual floor and SIT DOWN. crazy bitches. and you sit there for a while, until everyone decides, they've had enough nervous waiting and jumps up and pushes forward and you have to actually jump to the barrier super quickly or you'll end up a trampled mass on the floor.

Ive only been on the side of the cat walk near the end it was really good but i dont no where the better places are .. if your on the side i think you stand out more but yeh i dont no .. where would you all be hoping for? for your next show?

these were my thoughts exactly. all the security people were yelling and telling me (and everyone else) to slow down. i was just like "noooo, you don't understand, IT'S GREEN DAY, i have to be in the front!" luckily i was able to get a spot on the barrier, it was awesome.

That's great you made it to the front! :)

Yeah, I'd say security guards think us fans are crazy when it comes to getting to the stage!

Haha I know. I just remember seeing Trina miles ahead of me and thinking "Why aren't my legs able to keep up with her??"

D: Oh that's SUPER confusing.

We had to be told when to stand up, and we keep pestering the security guards to let us stand up. because we had been sitting down ALL day.

And in the the middle of the floor there were these two weird barriers so you had to go down the middle. :/ I have no idea what they were for because the floor wasn't supposed to be in two sections.

Haha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that went through the wristband ordeal.

Seriously though. And I was the first person in line; I had my hand on the door handle. And then they open the doors and everyone's like BLAHJDHGASFKJAKJF WRISTBANDZZZ and we're all crowding around this table and I think there were like 2 people there. And everyones getting one before me and I'm like :( and eventually she gets on for me and puts it around my wrist so fucking slowly. And then I had to wait for my friend and I'm like slowly walking toward the doors to the stage haha.

And then we ran down the steps and while we were running down I'm looking at the stage and going, "WHERE DO YOU WANNA GO? HUH? WHERE? WHERE? WHICH IS THE BEST SPOT? UH UH" because I had no idea where to go. We just decided on the front of the catwalk. We were like 2 rows behind it. It was great; when Billie ran down it during 21CB, it was so epic. I'll never forget his face, he had these wide eyes and grin.

But I do think I'm doing to try one of the corners, preferably Mike's. I want to sing Longview. The more I think about my chances, since I'm dressing up weird and hopefully get noticed, has been making me anxious lately. I hope I don't freeze up or get scared or something if I were to get up there.

I hate the rist band things .. they made us walk through all these metal fence things like we were sheep or somthing LOL the sat us down and then let us all go in and as sooon as you get into the arena you have soo much adrenaline and you just run for the barrier i hate that bit so much lol but that was the beggining of the best night of my life :P

^Haha, wow. All I did was sit in front of the doors for like 8 hours, and then around the time the doors were going to open, I was standing in front of it. And then people just came and opened the doors and we all ran in. And then searched us and then we went through the turnstiles, and down a few steps, and then there was the wrist band table. And then the door to the stage was right ahead so we went through that, down a billion steps, and onto the floor.

Security really sucked at my show though. The metal detectors were going off like crazy but they just let everyone go haha. And guards walked past us a few times, just walking around the arena. I remember when the sign about what you couldn't bring in got posted, and I read that to keep myself busy.

And then it was funny because the doors opened about 5 minutes late, and we were all so impatient. I was checking the time every 5 seconds basically. And we could see some lady walking toward us and were all freaking out, thinking she was going to open the doors, but she just changed the trash in a trash can. Everyones like, "OMG OMG OMG OMG C'MON OMG....AWWWWW!" haha.

^^ LOL we were all sitting on the concrete out side the doors (i was there for 27 hours) and then we sore all these people running towards us it was like a stampeed :D We all got up and then just stood at the gate then yeh went through all that waiting time at the gate they said doors open at 7pm but they opened them at 5pm it was pretty cool i dont think we could have handled hearing them do the soundchaeck and noing that there inside waiting for another 2 hours lol

I hate sitting waiting for them to let you stand, it's so squishy and uncomfortable, and I'm so paranoid about bitches trying to push in haha. And I'm a fidget, I can't keep one position longer than about a minute. It was hellish the first night too, cos I ended up kneeling and my legs were cramping up real bad. It was kinda cool though, cos we were both wearing our tour shirts from Brisbane, so everyone behind us was like "woooow...did you go to Australia...so you've already seen them?" lolol

That sounds like epic fail! So glad our arena doesn't make you go up and down stairs, it's actually a pretty short and direct distance to the floor. :)

Haha we were like that too...our security guard kept trying to tell us we wouldn't be able to stand up until the support was about to start...whatever!

I think they have those barriers at lots of their shows? But yeah I remember being like "what" when I saw them at Vector. But we were there for the Brisbane show - not actually a bad view :) It was kinda strange, because they had split front and back tickets, but then they let everyone in the back section run through the gap once everyone had stood up, haha. We just stayed at our barrier though, cos we knew we'd be able to see more. No one danced around there though, boo lol

The queues outside the door were actually the most civilised I've seen, I think. The security guards had actually pushed us all back so that the start of the line was way back from the doors themselves, so you didn't get that mental crushing as they open the doors. They just had a bit of tape between the barriers holding us in. Haha, I remember we were watching the clock and trying to keep an eye on the other GA queue, and then my sister heard screaming and saw movement at the other end, so she pretty much just ripped the tape of and we all ran through to the ticket check :D We were like "they're going in, then WE'RE going in"

thanks! it really was an incredible experience  and oh man i know, when i was running...errr, i mean...uhh walking swiftly... from the doors down to the floor i glanced around at some of the security and the looks on their faces were priceless  you could tell they were just like "omg, do i seriously have to deal with these crazy people tonight?!"

^Haha, yeah! The security guards had, "Oh shit" faces on when they looked at the crowd at my show. They could tell it was going to be crazy.

lmao yeah someone was counting down the minutes saying 'OMG one mintues left!!!!'

and then we all pushed and squashed everyone and in the rush I somehow(idk) got infront of rachel an I could hear her behind me the whole time because the security guards were telling her and me not to run hahahaha

and I swear your line moved before ours?

:o You cut in front of Rachel? tut tut *shakes finger*

lol, jk

and Haha, maybe it did. We probably went in first because Char just pulled off the ribbon, which we'd already loosened "to make it easier for the security guards ;)" So everyone kinda ran forwards a bit, and they tried to stop us for a second but gave up, I think? I dunno it was kinda confusing, but I just ran for it. We were just like "fuckit" it's past 6.30 now! But most likely it was only the queues for the seats that were moving before, haha.

The lady who scanned my ticket was like "wow, first one in!" I don't know though whether she meant just out of our line or whether her machine had some sort of count on it lol.
