newsflash777 Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Alright, so if you get pulled up and Billie doesn't ask you to stage dive, security leads you out, right? Where do you go then?
Leisha-LUNA Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I think it varies. People I know have just been sent back into the pit, like at the back/to the side and lose their spot. but a couple of people (myself included, even though I stage dived...the security pulled me out again)have been lead back to their spot. Arturo just made everyone move and my friends pushed people back so I could jump back over the barrier and into my spot

Isabel Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Arturo just made everyone move and my friends pushed people back so I could jump back over the barrier and into my spot Awwh lucky I think I went a bit too far back so they couldn't do anything but just get them let me down into the crowd. I ended up pretty far back but it wouldn't have mattered where I was....I didn't pay attention to the rest of the concert, I was in too much of a daze
P3AC3MAK3R Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Haha yeah, I can just see him pushing someone into the crowd. "Kthnxbye!" bahahaha !!

I went pretty far back started yelling at everyone "That way! I want to go that way!" so I got out hehe I know that kind of daze, I don't remember much after Longview
Isabel Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Damn, I should have thought of something like that! I guess I was so overjoyed that I survived my first stage dive Yeah, it was like, this surreal moment whereby I was literally just standing there thinking "Um, did that just happen?" And everyone around me kept shaking my hand and saying "Well done!" it was amazing Hell, that was the best spot to be in
Leisha-LUNA Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 ^ I almost got everyone to put me down in the pit, and then I realized the security were waiting to pull me out and I was like YES!aaah I went nuts once the show finished. I had a drum stick in my hand and was just jumping around like a freak. and then just standing there like this and people kept coming up to me to talk to me about it, and having massive conversations. and I'm like whaaaat ,akljbdfoaigfoal;dshfpaldufgoadyep yep..

drumstick Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 I hope the catwalk is a similar layout to the arena shows.this!
downontelegraph Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 LOL, yes. I will stand out mighty well.Do you mean he picks them from the sides of the catwalk?I was thinking that. Like, if I awesomely enough run in and there's a barrier spot open in front of that catwalk, I'd obviously take it. Or if the front of the catwalk wasn't crowded at all; maybe a little less than how it was at our show. But, I was thinking about going to the corner of the stage and catwalk to be a little closer to Mike, so he can see my sign if BJA doesn't, and tell Billie to pick me. And because I want to see more Mike this time too, I didn't see him much last show. It just sucks because I'm short. I want a barrier spot badly. I have to be quicker than before; grab the wristband before they put it on SO. SLOWLY.at my show the lady putting on my wristband started getting pretty nervous when all the people started running in from the line outside, and she was fumbling with my bracelet for like 5 minutes. i mean. i know she was nervous, but it was still pretty frustrating, cause in my mind i was like "HURRY UP, I NEED TO GET TO THE BARRIER!" haha.

SLOWLY.Ahhh omg my experience was worst!Firstly, I was the second one in one of the lines when they scan the tickets and the ticket scanner wouldn't work and I was going fucking INSANE. Then I power walked(they were ALL telling us we couldn't run) to the next line where they were putting on the wristbands and OMG they woman was all fumbling and I was jumping up and down while she was trying to put the wristband on me. Omg I almost died! And then I was powerwalking like crazy and there was a whole line of security guards telling me to slow down 'there's no rush' then I got to the stage and I was like 'OMG where am I gonna go!!!!' then I made the quickest and best decision I have ever made in my entire life and choose mikes corner. Right between the catwalk and the stage

heartscollide Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 definitely the best decision!greatest. spot. ever.Omg yes. And by the end of the night I was pushed halfway down the catwalk which was really great for the acoustic

Right between the catwalk and the stage :wub:Vector security are so f#cking anal when everyone's going in You're like walking slow as and they're all "sloow down, there's no hurry" and stand right in front of you. Dicks. But I swear there were about 3 times as many of them on the floor as we were all going in than all the other times I've been there. And for the first show the guy doing our wristbands was so stupidly slow. Luckily for the second show I got efficient fast people Char was swearing at the guy who scanned her ticket because he didn't even have his machine on!It's such a paranoid feeling, in between doors opening and getting your spot. When me and my sister got to the barrier at the first show, we both just started crying, haha. I was all butterflies and omgomgomg! I don't regret being front of catwalk at all, I think it was the best place for us, but I'd really like to be able to do another couple of shows in a row sometime, so I can spend at least one at the barrier on Mikes side or something.

I was SO incredibly happy to get the barrier. After stressing for so many fucking months about every little detail! Like I was RIGHT in the corner
Leisha-LUNA Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 We didn't have too much issues with wristbanding in melbourne, because we convinced security to do our group first and it was completely one at a time. and we were numbered. but the walk was still stressful. and the entire day of convincing security that we should go in first. I love that feeling of relief when you finally get your spot on barrier, so good.
catarina. Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 thank god we don't have wristbands then o.o'but sometimes people take too long to scan the damn tickets. and they tell us not to run but i always run. i don't care. i fell once i got hurt, they laughed but i still got my place in the front. i had to get out before green day even started but at least i know i was in the front
Isabel Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 We didn't have wristbands in Belfast but oh my God, the walk from the doors to the stage seemed to last forever!!! All the security guards were like "Don't run!!! Stop running!!!!" going mad at people. But I was there going "You don't understand!! I have to get to the front!" And all I could think about was the people walking be me reeeeeeally fast. I was like "They CANNOT get ahead of me!"
P3AC3MAK3R Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 OMg i hate/love that felling when the gates are opened and your let in and then you have to scan your ticket and then wait for your rist band and then "walk"/skip/hop/powerwalk ect ect anything to get to the frount then as soon as you get into the arena you just run for your life for that barrier and once your on it omg you are so relieved i cant describe that feeling its all a big rush just to get to that barrier!! and if you dont get to it we always are blaming the ticket scanner or the guards or the rist ban people for not being faster lol !! Those guards who keep telling you to walk and not to run seriously have no idear of how much you need to get to that barrier or to that spot that you really wont .. could you imagine having no security guards between the gate and the arena flour wow that would be so hectic and crazy there would need to be a few ambulance officers there LOL
Isabel Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I know, it's so annoying! In Manchester, there were about 6 or 7 doors letting people in and our stupid security guard let us in last

Like right up at the top of these steps where all the seating was. They made us all walk down to the floor really slowly and we could see people on the other side walking down too. I'd say there were about 50 people ahead of me...but I still got to the barrier on the right hand side in the corner where the catwalk meets the stage. It was a miracle!!
Backyard Skulls Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I would say the catwalk, although me and my cuz never managed to get there. When the doors opened in Glasgow we both linked arms so we wouldn't get sperated lolol. The secuirty let the first 150 people in first (us!) and kept the others behind. We handed the tickets to security and started to walk in reaaallly slowly. The security were saying "Anyone who runs will get chucked out!" "STOP RUNNING!" They were practically screaming at us, after that we made a sprint for the barrier. I had so much adrenaline pumping through my body I was like "Omg i'm actually at the barrier! " We got seperated from the other people we were with but didn't want to find them incase we lost out spot. Needless to say it was a great spot, and I was right infront of Mike and got one of his plectrums <3
