IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 It's gone up another two places on the UK chart. Judging by the speed it's going I reckon it's got a good chance of being Christmas number one.
Kaddi. Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 I don't know the chart position, but it's played on the radio and on MTV very often.
XusernameX Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 i havent heard 21 guns on the radio once. and i have heard know your enemy like 3 or 4 times.
Samantha Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 Maybe I'm not listening to the radio enough (but the radio is mostly always on at camp) but I've yet to hear 21 Guns

bjrules Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I didn't really think that many people at my school liked it, but lots of people are saying how great it is. I'm surprised actually, the people that re saying this are usually into Lady Gaga and that sort of stuff.
Velocity Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 I heard 21 Guns for the first time on the radio the other day. I was out at a diner with my mom, and I kind of had to stifle my excitement when the song came on. xD
Harriet Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Number 36 this week... but hey, if John Barrowman can get to number 14, who knows? We just have to get Chris Moyles behind the song and we'll all be laughing
ThrillerIOH11 Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I have XM radio and i heard it a ton on the top 20 and the hits station tht my mom always has on
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 pmsl It's a pity really but I doubt they'll ever have a number 1 here :/Do you want me to get you some Tena Lady ? I don't think they're mainstream enough. It's weird that bands like Kings of Leon can seemingly come from nowhere to headline Glastonbury and have a number one album, yet Green Day seem to be going backwards

I mean Kings of Leon are not that good of a band at least in my opinon. Green Day is a million times the band Kings of Leon will ever be so it is befuddling to me how Green Day seems to be going backward
Nele Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I don't know the chart position, but it's played on the radio and on MTV very often. It is? Well I listen to the wrong radio station then. And to be honest I'm not bored enough to watch MTV either...Anyway it's on position 66 at the moment.

Green Day is a million times the band Kings of Leon will ever be so it is befuddling to me how Green Day seems to be going backward Green Day need Kings Of Leon's PR/publicist/A&R person. Whoever it may be is an utter genius. Before Glastonbury, they did adverts on Radio One for a session that actually had to remind people who they were. A year later, they've had a number one single and they're re-issuing all their previous albums. Green Day only released American Idiot and did Milton Keynes a few years ago and yet their last two singles have barely troubled the chart.

Something really needs to be done to get Green Day's name out there again. I am hoping if East Jesus Nowhere is the new single it will be something big that will get peoples attention and get the other singles moving in the right direction
Danny of Suburbia Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 i havent heard 21 guns on the radio once. and i have heard know your enemy like 3 or 4 times.Same here. Radio down here buh-lows.
blitzkriegdeb Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 You know what I was thinking the other day? It's kind of funny how Warner didn't release HLAHG because they thought it would direct people's attention away from 21stCB, when they haven't really done shit to promote it.

It's kind of funny how Warner didn't release HLAHG because they thought it would direct people's attention away from 21stCB, when they haven't really done shit to promote it.Forgive my ignorance, but what's HLAHG? It was weird...I hear "21 Guns" and "She" on the radio today! I won't lie, I started singing like a fool when I heard "She", because I don't think I've ever heard it on the radio (since I was a wee youngin' when it was released). I hear "Good Riddance", "Longview", "Basket Case" and all of the AI songs a lot, but not "She"! NowhereBound Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Forgive my ignorance, but what's HLAHG? Heart Like A Hand Grenade
Mar Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Heart Like A Hand Grenade Oh, thank you! I'm a new frequenter of the message boards so I had never heard of the movie. And I think it would've been a great tie-in with the album. However, I'm not a Warner executive, so...
JohnnyNapalm Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 from where im from i dont think it has been as successful as know your enemy. in my opinion its one of the lower end songs on the album
gdblink182 Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 the first time i drove my car i heard it on the radio for the first timebut ive heard know your enemy aboutt 12 times and i dont listen to the radio that often :/
Devan Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I've heard Know Your Enemy a couple times, but 21 Guns has recieved much more airtime, at least where I live. I rarely listen to the radio and I've heard at least 15 times..We got #1 in Israel though!
The Muffin Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I was listening the radio for three weeks the whole days cause I had summer work, and I heard 21 Guns once. They don't do any advertising on 21CB or the singles here. It annoys me like hell. The only songs that they played were Pokerface, Sober, Ayo Technology and old pop hits. Pop stuff in general. Stupid stupid stupid stupid radios. :verymad: I don't know about the charts, though.
Sara. Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 I have heard 21 guns several times on the radio. I think it's going very well with the song here.I found this in norway. you can't actualty see it very good on this pic, but the song who's being played is 21 guns
