The Grateful Green Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Is "She's old enough to bleed now" referring to her menstrual cycle?dirty mind.
Eirik Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 ^Erm, I think you confuse dirty with analyzing... possibly over-analyzing. Oh my god. Amazing.
amy_runs Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 dirty mind. How is that dirty? I was just throwing it out there as something to consider

lookoutrebelgirl Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 maybe im beeing really stupid right now, but maybe mike wrote this song? he does have a daughter. Thats exactly what I was thinking.Shes old enough to bleed nowI knew someone was going to bring up the rag with this line but I just think it means shes old enough to suffer like you protect little kids from everything but now shes old enough to have problems and thing to deal with that hurt.
Angela. **nobodylikesyou** Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 That's what I thought that line meant.billie loves to use double meanings.
Fulano Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Holy shit...That was so much things happening while i was off...hum...loved drama queeni'm anxious to listen the Wanderful
Angela. Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 billie loves to use double meanings. Haha, true. You have a point.
jose armstrong Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 I liked it, I had a feeling that is not finished or that Billie didn't play it from start to finish.anybody else heard a Bob Dylan-ish sound to it?
Hermione Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 billie loves to use double meanings. I think it's a double meaning too. She's old enough to have to deal with bad things in life, and that means both problems and heartache etc, and also literally bleeding and suffering for it. I can't believe the line would come out sounding like such a clear reference to periods by accident! Suffering periods could be a metaphor for the suffering that a woman goes through in life.
forget_me_nots Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Haha, I expected something sooooooo different in Drama Queen! I thought it would be like HAHG! I wasnt expecting a slow, short song like that. But I love it! I cant believe the songs that didnt make this album!

amy_runs Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 I liked it, I had a feeling that is not finished or that Billie didn't play it from start to finish.anybody else heard a Bob Dylan-ish sound to it?Yeah, I also thought it wasn't the whole thing. And I also think it isn't an acoustic song
**nobodylikesyou** Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Yeah, I also thought it wasn't the whole thing. And I also think it isn't an acoustic songHe didnt play all of Novacaine the night before nor all of Words I might have ate the night before that. So it most likely wasnt the full song.
amy_runs Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 He didnt play all of Novacaine the night before nor all of Words I might have ate the night before that. So it most likely wasnt the full song.Really? Wow. Well at least we have more to look forward to hearing!
Supermodel*Robot Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Billie's voice. He's improved so much over the years
The Grateful Green Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 But I have to say, I like your sig. It's fun to watch. yeah it is
Rezurgam Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Daddy's little bundle of joy out of a magazineDon't know if it was mentioned before but I was thinking of this in class earlier today. There might be a double meaning in the use of magazine. Magazine as in the shit that people read and magazine as in what ammunition is held in. Makes sense because of Viva La Gloria! reference to ammunition.
LetItBeHappy Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 you shits, I found it.so, this is the only audio I know of one of a never before released songhttp://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=54749747who knows what song can this be.don't know if anyone already answered this, but this is the unreleased song that Billie played to Rob Cavallo and John Roecker in Heart like a handgrenade.
Hermione Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Why do people think Mike co-wrote it? Wouldn't that have been mentioned when the song was talked about and described in magazine articles? Also it would be a bit harsh for Billie to kick a song Mike wrote part of off the album at the last minute in favour of one he wrote on his own
LetItBeHappy Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Why do people think Mike co-wrote it? Wouldn't that have been mentioned when the song was talked about and described in magazine articles? Also it would be a bit harsh for Billie to kick a song Mike wrote part of off the album at the last minute in favour of one he wrote on his own Billie said that he had wrote the whole album, and that he wanted that Mike writes more songs... So I concur with the theory of "no, Mike did NOT wrote this". I mean... poor estelle, her father wrote a song for hell called "drama queen"? naaah.
