punkrockerlori Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Sometimes I skip over Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life). Even thought it's my favourite song of all time. To me it has to be the right moment to be able to listen to that song. I only skip it when I know it's not the moment to listen to it..
a1000brokenhearts Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 it's weird reading someone's post, and seeing some of your favorite songs be on that person's "skip" list haha. as for me...i'm not saying these are bad songs, they're just my least favorite. i love all GD songstrue ^^. imo, restless heart syndrome or christians inferno or ... are awesome songs and then you read that so many people 'hate' these songs. makes you wonder. but that's what it is, your own opinion. it's funny how that varies. but for me, it's really all about the mood i'm in.
Serpent72 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I almost never skip songs.. if i do, it's a matter of what mood I'm in.That's what I do as well.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Depends. If I'm listening a whole album, I skip nothing (well, sometimes I skip the last 4 songs from Kerplunk, but that's the only exception)When I'm listening to songs on shuffle (which is mostly during school/on my way to school), it depends on my mood if I skip songs, there isn't a single song I don't skip so once in a while, no matter how much I love it. Though I pretty much always skip All The Time, and some other songs I usually skip for several reasons.
!Viva La Analee! Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 It really depends on the mood I'm in.But I normally skip BOBD(way over played and i just don't reallyl ike it), Know Your Enemy, See The Light, Castaway (not that I don't like it, it's just i over obsessed with that song and played it like 10000 times in one week and it got old), I Wanna Be On TV,Last Ride In, Haushinka, Extraordinary Girl, and sometime She's a Rebel.
AndrewSon Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Last Ride In!it's weird reading someone's post, and seeing some of your favorite songs be on that person's "skip" list haha. as for me...1039 - Disappearing Boy, 1,000 HoursKerplunk! - 80, Android, No One KnowsDookie - NoneInsomniac - NoneNimrod - None Warning - NoneShenanigans - Rotting, OutsiderAmerican Idiot - Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Extrodinary Girl21 CB - Know Your Enemy, Last Night On Earth, Murder Cityi'm not saying these are bad songs, they're just my least favorite. i love all GD songsInteresting.. i love rotting and no one knows!
Trina Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Skipping songs defeats the purpose of an album.Yeah, this.I don't skip Green Day songs. I listen to their records as a whole. I'm just not into the whole mp3 shuffle thing..I make mixtapes(haha, I know it's 2009, wut) with random songs of theirs but that's not skipping, I guess, just picking songs that go well sonically together or have the same moods, themes, etc.I love all their songs.Ooh actually, just realised that I sometimes skip Dominated Love Slave.
NowhereBound Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I already posted here before, but I just remembered another song I skip....Sweet Children.
Hermione Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Peacemaker(The only Green Day song I HATE  )I can't believe you people will skip all these quality songs before you will skip something like Best Thing In Town or Strangeland. Seriously?
Isabel Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I can't believe you people will skip all these quality songs before you will skip something like Best Thing In Town or Strangeland. Seriously?Yeah, Best Thing In Town is definitely the most amazing song from Kerplunk! I NEVER skip that song
Hermione Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Yeah, Best Thing In Town is definitely the most amazing song from Kerplunk! I NEVER skip that song Well I like it too, but better than all these wonderful songs that people are skipping? NO
Isabel Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Well I like it too, but better than all these wonderful songs that people are skipping? NO Well ok Peacemaker is miles better I think, but what about Tight Wad Hill?! Everyone seems to have it in for that song. It's so precious
Drew Holiday Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 On American Idiot, Extraordinary Girl and Shes A Rebel. On 21CB, not a thing!
Brian Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Even though i said i never skip a song, if i had to, it would have to be "Take Back" from Nimrod. Its just too extreme for me for some reason. But since it is short in length, i just listen to it It might grow on me.
music_that_is Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Sometimes Song Of The Century and AI.Also If I'm not in the mood or if I know that those songs will make me cry I skip songs like 80
Hermione Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Well ok Peacemaker is miles better I think, but what about Tight Wad Hill?! Everyone seems to have it in for that song. It's so precious Yes! Turning tricks for speedballs one more niii-iiight! Shame on everyone who doesn't like Tight Wad Hill. And shame on anyone skipping songs on 21st CB , I can't do it! I don't even really like not listening to the whole thing in one go, it's annoying when I don't have time for all of it. It just begs to listened to all the way through.
Jesus*Of*Suburbia Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 None of them. They are one of the only bands I can listen to every single song and enjoy them all as well. I creepily know every Green Day lyric too but I guess that comes from 15 years of listening to them nearly everyday.
leacalifornia Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 what are the songs you skip from the albums.. why?i do skip, on the latest album, know your enemy, because it's overplayed and i want viva la gloria next right away.me too! I usually skip the songs that are played on the radio a lot like BOBD, Know Your Enemy, 21 Guns. (I still love them though! ) haha
Chad is Rad Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 There's not very many I skip, but I do tend to skip Platypus (I Hate You), for some reason on Nimrod. And I skip Christian's Inferno on 21st Century Breakdown occasionally. Besides that, I usually lets the Cd's play from beginning to end.
Angie-Marie Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 The more I've thought about it, I've noticed what I skip tends to depend on what I'm doing when I listen. If I put all their stuff on shuffle, what I skip purely depends on my mood. I tend to skip Song of the Century and Jaded if they come up on shuffle but never if I'm just listening to just that album. I have nothing against either of song, I just don't really like hearing them out of the context of the album. I don't usually skip Last Ride In or Espionage if I'm driving, but I pretty much always do if I'm walking. I think Take Back and Maria are the ones I skip most regularly, I've never been particularly fond of either one.
trecool223 Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Peacemaker and restless heart syndrome. I just don't like them at all.and some songs on dookie and otehrs albums but not as much as these 2
Devan Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I'll almost always skip When I Come Around, Blood, Sex and Booze, and Christian's Inferno...Other than that, it really just depend on what moodI'm in.
Isabel Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yes! It just begs to listened to all the way through.I think I'd have an aneurysm if I heard anyone skipped 21st Century Breakdown!!I love singing the harmony during the first two verses and then bursting into my energetic, air guitar stride for the rock part. "Hey!!"
