...staples? Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Always thought it was "lazy" that's what I've been singing for yearsThat's definitely going to be my mission if I meet any of them."Soooo...oh yeah nice hair Tre...um, WTF IS WITH THAT ONE LINE IN LONGVIEW?! How the shit does it go?"lawlz That made my day
Dylan. Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 WE should write a letter to Mr. Armstrong and ask him. Teenies aren't allowed to help.
alaniluau Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I honestly doubt Billie Joe knows/cares. I always hear "lonely".
Hermione Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Oh my god, it's lonely! He sings it as clear as day, I would bet my life on it.Lazy? What is wrong with you people???
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Yeah its so hard to pick up, least I never could I always thought it could have been lazy or lame even only because those are the two words that would have made sense to me
Ally Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 i thought it was lazy too i always get lyrics wrong anyway....lonely does make more sense *goes and gets ipod to listen to it*
Another Urchin Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Billie Joe's fake accent is particularly strong in that song, so it's hard to tell what words are supposed to be. I sing breaking because that's what the lyrics book says. A lot of people I know sing lazy because that's what the rest of the song has. The guitars drown it out, so it's difficult to tell either way. Lonely makes sense, though. I might give the song a listen (where I don't sing a long for a change) and see what I come up with.
mad hatter. Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Tbh, I always heard "you're fuckin losing it"...
Another Urchin Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 OK, I just re-listened. The only thing I can rule out for sure is what is in the lyrics book. It's not breaking, there's an L. Then the guitars drown it out.
meghann Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 It is definitly lonely. Im sure of it. also in the lyric but it says that in the last chorus he says "Im slipping away to paradise" but for the life of me I KNOW he says tripping away.Sorry to sound so over overzealous but it really always bugged me that the booklet was wrong.i always thought it was lonely too.
Welshy Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I turned down the treble and bass on my speakers and I hear lonely.
Guest Shangri-La Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Oh my god, it's lonely! He sings it as clear as day, I would bet my life on it.Lazy? What is wrong with you people???Listen to Hermione.
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Well guess that means I am singing it lonely if I get up on stage
Guest Shangri-La Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I also always hear lonely... it's an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum, that line... also, it's almost impossible (to me) to hear him say "myth" at the end, too."miiiiyaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh"
Anja Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Next time Alernative Radio or Kerrang does a "Fan ask" thing, this is going to be my question
Nova-Caine Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Next time Alernative Radio or Kerrang does a "Fan ask" thing, this is going to be my question Haha you do it, ask a question about masturbating
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Haha you do it, ask a question about masturbating Well it wouldnt be a question about masturbating per se, but a question about a line in a song that involves masturbation
Anja Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Haha you do it, ask a question about masturbating You and your dirty mindIt will be my pleasure to ask them
leacalifornia Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 I always thought it was lazy.it never even occured to me that it was another word.haha but I do think it is lonely now that I listen to it more closely.
GDM Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 "miiiiyaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh"And may I ask what is a "miiiiyaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh?" haha.
Bohemian+Scandal Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Wow. Still debate going on. It's definitely lonely, but as I've admited before, I was singing lazy for a long while. In fact I was sure it was lazy, til the lovely ladies and gents here said lonely and I listened to the song again and lo and behold! I heard lonely!Damn BJ's faux accent making is Lo sounds sound like Lay sounds.
