I also always hear lonely... it's an enigma wrapped up in a conundrum, that line... also, it's almost impossible (to me) to hear him say "myth" at the end, too.

I can't see where anyone has mentioned my own personal second option, so here goes. Despite what the booklet says, I've always vacillated between thinking he says "lonely" or "nowhere." I definitely hear the "O" sound - the beginning could be an "L" or an "N" but the end is shrouded in mystery!!!

Like most people have said, in the booklet it says breakin' but I believe it's lonely...it sounds like it would fit better than breakin'.

& I just realized that some of the fan videos where he has them sing longview during the show , he usually just makes the crowd sing that part. I wonder if he knows, himself XD maybe he switches it up all the time just so make people think its one or the other haha.
