I think as a radio single(and 21st cb needs a radio single to get more sales) is the static age the perfect choice!

21 Guns was a really good single in germany(it's still every day on radio), but I never heard 21st cb on the radio!!

I think everyone wants it to be The Static Age.

Depends how you look at it.

It's the most logical choice, it will probably do best out of all the songs 'left', so it will be shown and broadcasted (?) on tv and radio the most, and it doesn't need any edit (it's 4 minutes long and no swear words), so from that point of view I want it to be The Static Age.

However, if you look at it from a "ooh that would make a cool video and I would love to hear that on the radio", there are a couple of songs I would love to be single (granted, among them is The Static Age).

Agreed!

you should see the lyrics again though. There are some swear words ('all i wanna know is a gd damned thing!')and more

Could be Last night on earth , its become more frequent live aswell, and, it makes sense to have a ballad afer east jesus nowhere.

I don't think that's a swear :P or at least not one they should censor (although, I'm not sure how much of a 'heavy-loaded' swear it is.) They didn't censor god damned in EJN in MTV World Stage...

And more? Where? I don't see any other swear words. granted, though, I tend to not notice swear words, ngl, I didn't think of goddamned thing, haha.

When EJN is played on the radio, "god damn" isn't censored surprisingly so I'm gonna guess that all that is going to be cut out is "fuckin"

I didn't even realise "god damned" was even classed as swearing.

I have always classed it as swaring. I class a lot of things as swaring.

EDIT: Double post.

*swearing.

I DONT.

D: Why not?

It's always been one of my favourites off the album.

And I'm happy it hopefully won't be Before The Lobotomy. That song is too close to my heart.

its not that i totally dislike the song, i just like other songs better.

but if they do make it into a video, it'll probably grow on me.

Before the Lobotomy shouldn't be a single, in my opinion.

I'm almost positive it will be edited to hell. It's over 4 and a half minute long, and it's quite easy to cut parts out of it without it sounding weird so that will sure happen. And there's one swear word in it too, but that's my least concern.

It can probably make a cool video (I have a vague idea for a cool video), but because of the editing I don't really want it to be a single.

static age is a great song and will have a great video.but I think it's not a good choice for being a single.next video has to be BTL, LNOE,RHS or EJN.

I think that if we have to consider as potential singles songs with no bad words, we would have only a few songs that could become singles.

No, I'd say the static age will be the forthcoming single. It's my favorite song of the album and one that might do well in charts.

"What a fuckin' tragedy!" being the most obvious thing that will be censored.

I didn't even realise "god damned" was even classed as swearing.

The "god" is usually censored for the sensitive and the atheists.

Because saying god is a crime now.

I want a new music video soooo bad. :pinch: maybe after grammy? please

^I second that :)

OK I do agree that the static age is pretty good but come on guys East Jesus Nowhere is so much better......Even restless heart syndrome is better even though they don't sing it on the live shows....................

^ East Jesus Nowhere is already a single, or well, officially I believe. No idea how the reality is in the US (where EJN is a single), though, haha.

You know, I totally didn't notice the 'fucking' the two times I read the lyrics (in my booklet, but still) searching for swear words.

I only noticed it when I listened the song today

At this point I suppose EJN was only released as a radio single. The situation is so confused! According to Wikipedia, 21st CB came out on December, 21st. But there are no signs of that! I reckon that US have had three singles...well, I mustn't think about that, it's only confusing :)

I don't know it anymore either. But they did play the EJN "music video" on the US tv, I believe.....

Seriously, they majorly fucked up with pretty much everything you can fuck up when it comes to releasing and promoting an album and singles.
