Kryssi. Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Milton Keynes Bowl.1. Because we need a 2nd helping.2. It's my home turf-ish.
Isabel Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 They played The Ambassador one month before American Idiot came out...I still can't get over that one, I mean, the place only holds 2,000 or so. That would have been amazing to see. Still so annoyed that I missed it; had no one to go with me at the time I'd love if they played somewhere like Tripod or the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin; they're also very small, intimate venues.
Anja Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Sweet Green Day pool party count me in Will do And another reason for that would be: they never played in East Germany  Hello, there´s no wall anymore! You can come in! lol

elanorelle72 Posted July 13, 2009 Author Posted July 13, 2009 ok i need to ask some of you a question:How do you request a band to come to your city? I know it might not make any difference but I found out it did actually...I helped to get a famous UK artist to Vancouver...Do I contact the facility myself or GD management ? Do I need to start a petition or write a letter? i am not one to give up...Its not that I don't like to travel its just we party hard here and after Sat nights punk music moshing which was more insane than I have seen in my life...We have had famous groups here Meat Loaf...Cher...Rod Stewart ( too many times), Styx, Back Street Boys, Black eyed Peas ( three times I bet), Incubus, Sum 41, Finger 11, Nine Inch Nails, New Kids on the Block, Avril Lavigne, Snoop Dog, Kid Rock, Queens of the Stone Age, Beck,Godsmack, Nelly Furtado ( too many times to count), Michael Buble, High School Musical 3 ( not that I care...ick..) Jethro Tull,
fatherotti Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 several ways ^^^^^^^^^^1: Get a disease or something an end up in the "make a wish foundation" then write a heartfelt letter about how much you love them 2: Build a stadium or some type of arena and hope it becomes famous enough for them to wanna play there...(Green Day isnt just gonna play in some school gym or in your backyard as much as you would like that )3: Become a multimillionaire and hire them to play in your backyard or wherever the hell you want them to play(Green Day isnt just gonna put on a show without getting paid for it)
elanorelle72 Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 several ways ^^^^^^^^^^1: Get a disease or something an end up in the "make a wish foundation" then write a heartfelt letter about how much you love them 2: Build a stadium or some type of arena and hope it becomes famous enough for them to wanna play there...(Green Day isnt just gonna play in some school gym or in your backyard as much as you would like that )3: Become a multimillionaire and hire them to play in your backyard or wherever the hell you want them to play(Green Day isnt just gonna put on a show without getting paid for it)yep its money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is my face book group!!!Victoria BC Needs a Larger Music VenueVictoria does not have proper music facilities for large concerets and events. The largest indoor venue is Save-On-Foods arena and it has about 7000 and could be about 8000 if you include the cramming of the floor. Its a shame that Vancouver gets most of the music (GM Place especially) when the Capital of BC gets the dredges. And I can't believe money is the issue here...the more people you bring in the more money to the city and word of mouth spreads and soon everything works out...also Saskatoon has 100,000 less people than we do yet their arena has 13,000 people...this is unacceptable. Also with the 2010 olympics coming up it might be something to think about..Please talk to city hall and as many people you can and get some interest and find ways to get this moving. Suzanne Dwilliesand good go-getter attitude is the way to go in this city...there is too much sitting around and doing nothing...( the Sewage debacle sound familiar?)Contact DetailsEmail: Someone finally woke up on this situation and City all much of the music scene is going to look into this to get the Juno Awards here. But don't you think it could mean better artists and maybe more work for the local economy? its a shame people are just thinking of Canadian ..shouldn't we be thinking of talent of the whole globe? a city won't get any where without proper facilities. I mean honestly how many people want to see Rod Stewart for the Thousandth time? And groups will find us much more attractive if we have a big venue to play and money to pay them!!!Current indoor capacity venues with more than a thousand:Save-On-Foods Memorial Arena ;max 7500ishBear Mountain Arena: 3000Royal Theatre :1434UVIC Centre: 1200Now while having a down concert near the legislature certainly takes care of the bodies its not always safe, feasible, or economical...but the enthusiasm we have certainly is evidence of the potential .we have no problem assembling a crowd of 50 thousand or more!Venues and businesses to contact:City Hall : http://www.victoria.ca/cityhall/index.shtmlBC Government (BC Arts Council): http://dir.gov.bc.ca/gtds.cgi?show=Branch&...alUnitCode=BCACCity hall is a good place to start : express interest and email (city council): http://www.victoria.ca/cityhall/mayor_contact.shtml
Wolfdemon Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 They need to play in Danbury, CT! There's plenty of venues and stuff around here and if they're looking for one of their smaller crowd concerts it'd be perfect!
Guest Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Wales! They don't have a single tour date for Wales! Well, South Wales anyway! I know plenty of people who would love to see them but simply can't travel the distance! We have plenty of places they can play aswell! Newport & Cardiff both have great places. But they simply seem to pass us by.
EmmOuGR Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 GREECE ! 1. They are very popular in here2. They haven't come anywhere near for a concert3. We have a very vivid crowd4. Because I want to see them lmao
Kimpsu Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 They should come to Finland. Last time they were here was on Insomniac tour, and that really was ages ago.
Welshy Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 Yeah Wales!I think it says in the live guide they played TJ's in Newport in 1991, it'd be amazing if they played there again. Or they could play CIA again, and they should definitely come to my house and play every song off every album.

Kaddi. Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I think they should play an open air show at the sea... it would be awesome.
