Guest Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 i dont know. i think id rather stay in the front row, cause im waaay too scared to be on stage...but thatd be a great experience haha.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Stage, for sure.Though I'd feel reeaally sorry for the people who'd have to hear me singing
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Stage, for sure.Though I'd feel reeaally sorry for the people who'd have to hear me singing I know what you mean but hell I'd enjoy the moment and not care if people were booing me off the stage
Sharmellow Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Yeah... We have a chance! But now that I look at it again she looks like.... 30 She does look 30.
Lauren Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Wow, I think we all unleashed our inner teenie tonight.
Angie-Marie Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Stay in the very front. I'm sure if I got pulled up on stage in front of thousands of people, I'd get so nervous I'd mess it up lol.
Angela. Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Wow, I think we all unleashed our inner teenie tonight. I know what you mean, Lauren. This is the worst I think I've been 'teenie' wise in months.
Lauren Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I know what you mean, Lauren. This is the worst I think I've been 'teenie' wise in months. I know... but it sure feels good to let it out. Gah, I have to stop!
saffy Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Yeah... We have a chance! But now that I look at it again she looks like.... 30 that's what really matters! Oh my god.. that's sounded really teenie, i guess i'm just tired
Wolfdemon Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Definitely on stage. I've always liked being on stage.
Lauren Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I'll let my avatar answer that question for me. hahahaha you are so happy, and i'm happy for you! what happened once you got off stage?
M1KEY Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 And to answer more of the initial question... I wasn't even raising my hand. Billie finished singing the first chorus of Longview, and then all of a sudden said "who knows the words to this song?" and then, before anyone even had time to respond, he pointed at me and said "do you know how to sing this song?"LOL So I definitely had no choice, not that I'm disappointed. Though, I was weary about offering myself for Longview a) out of fear of forgetting the lyrics [which I kinda did in the final chorus but thankfully Billie was singing with me] and b) because I wanted to be the Jesus of Suburbia guitarist. HahahahaOh well, I wouldn't have gotten humped if Billie hadn't chosen me for Longview. I think he already knew he was gonna pick me to be honest. He made eye contact with me several times before that point, and every time I was being as passionate about him, the show, the music, and all the lyrics as possible. Billie also saw that I had brought huge sunglasses (clearly for him) and he asked me for them during Are We the Waiting. So yeah, I think he knew I meant business and that I'm one of those obsessed fans who knows about all their little quirks at their shows.
M1KEY Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 what happened once you got off stage?I didn't intend to leave the stage when I ran off like I did (If you saw the video), I was going over to say HI to Jason. But while I was running over there, one of the (BIG) dudes on the side of the stage tossed me the last t-shirt that Billie (thankfully) hadn't shot into the crowd earlier, and then very quickly ushered me down the stairs and off the stage where I had to walk allll the way to the back of the arena between the floor and lower res bowl... all along the way everyone was high fiving me and some GDC'ers ran down and hugged me and I got loads of congrats and all that. Then when I got back into the crowd at the back and slowly started to make my way up to the stage again, I kept having to stop and accept more high fives and "pound-its" and even some hugs. LOL People were so excited for me and kept telling me how great I was. And of course a few people wanted to know if it was planned or if I was a 'plant'. hahayou didn't answer my question. LOL I was answering the TOPIC question silly.
SaintSaturn Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I got a question. I'm in the front row of the section that is right on the side of the stage. Is there any chance that I would get picked to go on stage? It's always been my dream to play drums with Green Day. Has anyone ever seen them pick someone from a section right by the stage?
watsername182 Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I've thought about this before as well. But I think I would rather lose my spot and be on stage.I can't see half the time anyway 'cause I'm so short. As long as I can hear the music, I don't mind.
