Isabel Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 how could they do that???? its impossibleNot at all. The first guitar player for Knowledge in Dublin was picked from way up in the balcony. She took ages to come down though, and Billie Joe was getting impatient. Then she couldn't even play the 3 chords so had to go back up. Maybe that's why they don't do it very often
Guest TwoDollarMellie Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I'm actually excited about the singing part, the only thing is that I might freeze up, but it's still all good.On the other hand though, if Billie called me up on stage to play guitar, I'd most likely be booed off ahahhahaha (I don't necessarily have the best syncronization, nor do I play very well).Anyway, being on stage would be awesome. I like being on stage and stuff, I just need to remember to not freak out when looking at the audience haha.
davegrohllover Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 I'd say on Stage thats a once in a lifetime thing!
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 16, 2009 Posted July 16, 2009 Same but I reckon the second verse would be slightly harder, it's way easy to become breathless during the chorus...like, I've even thought about that stuff Yeah I suppose the second verse would be a bit harder but I think I would be able to handle it but your right it would be easy to become breathless during the chorus but once you on stage I dont think you will let it get to you
The Muffin Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I'd go on stage.I wanna go on stage. I'll make a sign for it. I believe I can sing well, and even if I made a complete fool of myself, it'd be the best moment of my life. A bit embarrasing, but the best.
theeulogy Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 On stage!!!!!!!!standing in front row's great, but being on stage even for a couple minutes is unforgetable
Nobody_Likes_You Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Oh I wouldn't have expected that so many people would stay. I would go right up on the stage if I get the opportunity
Guest jetblackheart Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 Front row. I'd like to be on stage if it was just me and my friends playing, but I wouldn't know what to do if I was there with my favorite band!
Seedless_Reject Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I am determined to cross "Stage Dive at a Green Day concert" off of my bucket list. So I voted for go on stage. Hopefully it won't be bad as "The worst stage dive ever"
Radioactive1 Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I'd go on stage. It would be worth it to be next to them.(and to get a hug off Billie haha)
DarrenDookie Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I cant sing for shit so ill go with being at the front
TaylorKlinke Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I'd love to sing a verse in Longview or whatever song...Because I'd be on stage - and whoever is on stage always gets a hug and maybe a kiss from Billie Joe.
Moz Posted August 30, 2009 Posted August 30, 2009 I can play JOS on the guitar, but that is in my bedroom, not infront of about 10,000 people!Same here, I guess I would like to go on stage, cos it'd be an amazing experience and I can play JOS pretty well - but I don't know whether i'd be too nervous to play in front of the crowd, let alone Green Day. There's almost no chance i'd get chosen anyway, seeing as i've got a seating ticket.
g l o r i a Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Before my concert, I was really fucking confused on what was better. My crowd atleast, was really good about letting me back in, they actually praised me and gave me hugs, high fives, told me I was awesome, and let me get back into my spot after I sang.
LouLou Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I was against the barricade for the show in San Antonio and my friend that got to go up got to just jump back over the rail when he was done and back into his spot, so he got the best of both worlds. I also noticed during that show that Sarah got put back in her spot too, as did someone else, but I dont remember which show or which person it was. Also, the girl in Houston who sang for Longview made it back to her spot. People just let her back in and up front, congradulating her the who time.
JeanJeanie Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'm with the OP on being torn. On one hand it would be righteous to be able to be on stage in front of all those people and to stage dive and what not. On the other hand every time I'm front row I get to interact with Tre and Mike -- which is obviously my favorite part about going. God... I have to go with stage if I really think about it. The only thing cooler than diving off Green Day's stage would be singing "Everybody's Happy Now-A-Days" with the Buzzcocks and I doubt the latter will ever happen.
04rebhop Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Without thought i'd leap on the stage. I dream about it nearly every day, but i doubt it will ever happen./
Isabel Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I would sacrifice all ten of my toes to sing Longview on stage!! Only 48 days until it could potentially happen
MusicalDeviant Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'd say go on stage. I mean, yeah, its awesome to be in the front row, but how many chances are you gonna get to be on stage and pretty much meet Green Day? But considering the policy of putting those brought up on stage right back where they were in the audience the guards have been implementing as of late, it appears you can have your cake and eat it too.
packers182 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 on stage cuz thats a once in a lifetime experience
heartscollide Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 I'd probably jump on stage, then look at the crowd and stand there dumb-founded.I can't sing or play the guitar anyways.
