Eirik Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Right at the end of Wake Me Up When September Ends, after all the kind of winding down guitar sounds, there's ONE really quiet and short random note from the guitar. So right at the end it goes "Daa-daa daa daaaaaaaaaa.....................(duh)". I find the (duh) so random http://www.greendaycommunity.org/uploads/emoticons/default_laugh.png' alt=''>. Also when you play those winding down notes on Green Day Rock Band, the (duh) at the end isn't there! Even though you can hear it you don't play it. This just makes it amuse me even more. That's delay pedal. It's basically an echo. If you're talking about the part I think you are.

I just find it strange that they left that random noise in there . But I'm glad they did because I enjoy listening out for it.

Hermione Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I wouldn't exactly call it a random noise, it's a pretty common effect, but alright. It doesn't sound deliberate though, it's such a random note that doesn't relate to the other notes played before it. I don't know it just sounds weird to me . But it's fun to listen out it for whatever the case.

Are you talking about the sound at about 4:25?
Hermione Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 See, now I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing... Are you talking about the sound at about 4:25? No haha! It's at 4:41, you have to listen carefully to hear it. It sounds like the song's finished but there's just that one quiet sound at the end.

Oh, that. My bad. Well, that's not guitar. That's a keyboard, with an organ-like sound. And I think the sound is quiet due to a fade-out thing.

Oh I just thought it was guitar because you play all the sounds running up to it on guitar on Rock Band . Okay so it's a keyboard sound.......I still say it's rather random
scottrowan200 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 theres a musical term for what they do in chuch on sunday .. but i dont remember it lol
-Billiejoezee- Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 My Generation. oh my god I never catched that. @Hermione: haha that sound is so weird. I like it though. I always thought my version of church on Sunday, but then I bought another warning cd and notice it was on there as well.
