Chelsea Hotel Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Okay, maybe I'm crazy or stupid, but starting at 3:04 of Before the Lobotomy, what in God's name is Billie singing during the "Like refugees" verse? Is he echoing "refugees?" It sounds to me like he's saying "jewelry" or sometimes even "Billie." Help!

BringMoreKnives Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 I think it's just bass. He picks it hard and it gives it this treblely tone, kinda sounding like a cluck. I highly doubt Green Day brought a chicken into the studio while they were recording Warning. Although it seems like something Tre would do.lol i can tottaly see Tre doing that Tre: *yelling at chicken* "CLUCK GOD DAMN IT!!!"Chicken: *pecks tre*Tre: OWW!!! Bwiwwie the chicken pecked meh!!! Bill & Mike:
St. Banana Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 I thought he was saying "Well done" because everyone claps.same here...i still think he does...but whateverlol i can tottaly see Tre doing that Tre: *yelling at chicken* "CLUCK GOD DAMN IT!!!"Chicken: *pecks tre*Tre: OWW!!! Bwiwwie the chicken pecked meh!!! Bill & Mike: bahaha that made me laugh so much.
Isabel Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Haha I just heard the coughing noise in Prosthetic Head now. I wasn't even listening out for it
Welshy Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 What does Billie say near the end of Blood, Sex and Booze? At around 3:08?
Isabel Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I thought it was "can't take every baaaaaaaa"
buttcrackzachhhh Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Here's something I've noticed in 2,000 Light Years Away throughout the past couple of weeks..(I'm not sure if it's been brought up yet or not)During the second chorus right before "Dream about her" there's a noise that sounds almost exactly like the sound AIM makes when someone signs on..(A door opening.)Idk if it's just me, so I'd like to know if anyone else hears it.
BraedonHorbacio Posted September 25, 2009 Posted September 25, 2009 I'm listening to my iPod with headphones on and at the end of On The Wagon you can hear someone say "Hold on" I think it's Billie. It's in the last couple seconds.I don't know if this has been mentioned before...I was just gonna say that. He says "Well Done" and then on the other speaker he say "Thank you, Thank you"
green day is Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 (In a thread someone posted about the same thing a mod [i don't remember who] said it was okay to revive this thread) In Church on Sunday, towards the end, it sounds almost like the CD skips but it doesn't. He sings "If I promise go to church on Sunday" and it's during the "Sunday". I read somewhere that Eggplant was his actual name, but I really can't imagine that being true <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Eggplant is his last name. His first name is Robert, but in the punk scene, nobody would want to be called Robert. Eggplant is much cooler.
Hawkward Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I was Listening to the 'Brain Stew' multi-track, Then I noticed that Billie says "I'm havin' trouble tryna sleEEH" like his voice cracks or something.

He sings "If I promise go to church on Sunday" and it's during the "Sunday". I don't get this one, do mean when it slows down, and he sings "If I promise go to church on su-u-nday"? I don't hear any sort of skipping noise..

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Yeah I don't think it sounds like a glitch or like it skips. It sounds like it's supposed to be like that.
Amber. Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I thought that was only my CD too. But I'm pretty sure that my Nimrod CD for "Walking Alone" skips. It has these weird little blurps in them. Is that just mine? Sorry if this was already mentioned.
GreenRanger Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Ive always liked at the end of Dark Side of Night, as it's fading out, the flute just kind of freaks out.
Malleus Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 HEINEKEN FUCK THAT SHIT! Does that count? If so, that.
Burnout98 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 HEINEKEN FUCK THAT SHIT! Does that count? If so, that. Does anyone know why the hell they put that in the song? It works well. And yeah that counts, i guess.
Melonhead Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I'm not sure if this counts... but before All By Myself starts, you can hear somebody laughing, Tre' (I think) heavily breathing/panting, and Mike saying, "Are we recording? Shut up," in a joking tone. Haha. I always noticed the breathing but have never noticed what is actually being said in the background.

Hermione Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Ive always liked at the end of Dark Side of Night, as it's fading out, the flute just kind of freaks out. Haha I love that! Right at the end of Wake Me Up When September Ends, after all the kind of winding down guitar sounds, there's ONE really quiet and short random note from the guitar. So right at the end it goes "Daa-daa daa daaaaaaaaaa.....................(duh)". I find the (duh) so random http://www.greendaycommunity.org/uploads/emoticons/default_laugh.png' alt=''>. Also when you play those winding down notes on Green Day Rock Band, the (duh) at the end isn't there! Even though you can hear it you don't play it. This just makes it amuse me even more.
