Chelsea Hotel Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I timed it: at 2:47 in "A Quick One," Billie, not Mike, says something that sounds like "We! Have! A-ha-ha-ha!" I remember reading somewhere that Billie recorded that cover by himself. And I think it's Tre who does the "No! Fuck you!" at the end of "Homecoming." The whole thing goes something like: "No! Fuck you! Just go! I don't care! I don't know! I don't know! Just go! Fuck you! Just go!" I can't make out most of it, but that's the jist of it.I've always liked the little conversation they all have before "All by Myself." i dont know if this has been said before, but in east jesus nowhere where he sings " a fire burns today" ..right after that i hear some sort of weird backround noise that i cant even describe. It only really sticks out when i listen to it in the car but i definitely hear something I listened for it: it sounds to me like a background vocal: "Ohh-oh." Unless you mean something else?
Hermione Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 ^Yeah I only hear the ohh-oh I'm intrigued by this though, what sound can you hear?I remember there was a debate on some other GD forum 4 or 5 years ago about what that noise was. Someone said it was a screeching noise. I was like "Ok, are you seriously deaf? How can you hear anything other than a farting noise?!" It's because it's not a normal farting noise, it has a horrible wet sound. It's so horrible it makes me feel sick when I hear it
Jimmy Strummer Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 He says.. We have a remedy!Nahh not that part, the part with only the palm-muted guitar. It's after, "Ivor the engine driver's gonna make you...feel alright." If you want an exact time, it's 2:46 or 2:47. He says "We have" but then he force-laughs to the rhythm.I timed it: at 2:47 in "A Quick One," Billie, not Mike, says something that sounds like "We! Have! A-ha-ha-ha!" I remember reading somewhere that Billie recorded that cover by himself.Ohhhh, well I knew about Billie's solo cover before. That part sounds so much like Mike, though.
Rave Kate Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 You can hear someone coughing at 2:52 In prosthetic head.
Andrick Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 i think theres something in the beginning of going to pasalacqua
Jack96 Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 them shouting YES!!!! at the end of Dry Ice because it took so many tries and they finally got it right.Lol yeah i like taht one Yeah I know what you mean, ad-libbed lyrics. Different to odd background sounds but still cool. One of my favourites would be whatever the hell he shouts out at the end of Blood Sex And Booze. What's he saying? He says I Say yeah then something i cant make out.
Jimmy Strummer Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 He says I Say yeah then something i cant make out.He says "I'll show ya real time!"
Boston Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 them shouting YES!!!! at the end of Dry Ice because it took so many tries and they finally got it right.I never heard that before right now.
Chelsea Hotel Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 At the very beginning of "Sally" off Stop Drop and Roll!!! you can hear Billie shout "Hey!" before the guitars come in.

Angela. Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 At the very beginning of "Sally" off Stop Drop and Roll!!! you can hear Billie shout "Hey!" before the guitars come in.Haha, I never noticed that! Guess I learned something new today.
.Militza. Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 Does anyone knows what they're are talking, mumbling at the end of Homecoming?Just before the 'nobody likes you...'Edit: Didn't read it. Found it now. Thanks.
Nymrawd Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 don't know if this was already mentioned but in Homecoming when Tre is singing "haven't drank or smoked nothin' in over..." you can hear billie at the same time saying "don't wanna be an american idiot". i had the volume up pretty high when i heard it

Hermione Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 ^I'd call it a background noise, I didn't realize what he was saying for years . I was very amused when I did.He says "I'll show ya real time!"Is he really though? I've heard he says that in lots of places but it doesn't sound like it to me. And when he does it live it sounds even less clear, like he's just mumbling random sounds. It's a bit of a strange sentence too, it doesn't really make sense. I think whoever decided he was saying that was wrong
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 ^I'd call it a background noise, I didn't realize what he was saying for years . I was very amused when I did.Really? I heard it the first time I heard the song I thought it was pretty obvious, but apparently not, then xD

I think whoever decided he was saying that was wrong No, it makes sense. It only sounds like gibberish when you're just listening to the song, not listening carefully. The whole song is about, well, blood, sex, and booze. It's obvious he'd be saying that "[he'll] show ya a real time" with the sex and booze parts (not really sure about the blood part ). I suggest listening to it again, but very closely.
Hermione Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 ^Yeah I get what it would mean, it's just a strange way of wording it. You'd think he'd say "I'll show you a good time", "real time" is a bit odd which makes me think it's less likely.I can hear it if I listen (and I've listened closely to this song lots of times believe me ) but I think it's just because that's what I WANT to hear , my brain makes me hear it since I read it. I refuse to believe it!Really? I heard it the first time I heard the song I thought it was pretty obvious, but apparently not, then xDYou have good hearing . Then again it took me at least 2 years to realise Mike was singing the Nobody Likes You part...
*Whatsername-is a-ReBeL* Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 OK my sister claims that in Give Me Novacaine, Billie goes "uhhh" just before the guitar solo. So he goes "Oh novacaine.....uhhh". All I hear is "Oh novacaine" and then the guitar solo. Can anyone else hear this "uhhh"???lol nope...all i hear is oh novacaine and then the solo... thats it
Eirik Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 You have good hearing . Then again it took me at least 2 years to realise Mike was singing the Nobody Likes You part...Hah, I realised like, a month ago that Mike does the "Where'd you go?"s, as well.
bjrules Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but at the end of Do Da Da, you can hear Billie laugh.
shoegazeloser Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 In the middle of My Generation, somebody screams "Heineken, FUCK THAT SHIT!" That's a sound clip from the movie Blue Velvet.
Maddy. Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 Billie "masturbating" and making sexy noises Which one???
