Spaztic Plastic Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Sometimes when I borrow things I take a while to give them back, but I would definitely make sure I didn't ruin it, and if I did by accident I'd be responsible enough to replace it for them. I'm glad I've never lent any of my stuff, Green Day or not, to anyone. My brother has lent PS2 games and gotten them back so scratched that they don't work anymore, as well as some DVD's. Doesn't matter if you're the best of friends, sometimes you just can't trust people. :/I agree *nods* When you lend something to someone, you expect it to be in the same condition when you get it back. If it's a genuine accident that's one thing, but when they're careless with it and it gets trashed, that's different.
Arctic Fox Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 This thread was making me paranoid; I'd lent someone my 21CB special edition CD! Thankfully he gave it back today though
NowhereBound Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I gave away my American Idiot CD to my cousin because my sister bought that for my bday when I already had it.But I should be careful, I'm way too nice to people, I would probably let them borrow it in a heart beat because of how nice I am.... :/
Hayley Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Nope, but I've snapped at least 5 of the CD cases just after I bought them, in a rush to listen y'know.omg I do that with every single CD I get. I have at least 20 that are broken in half.
82 Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Someone lost my bullet in a bible.I was not a happy bunny. :verymad:
MassHysteria Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I don't even trust myself with my most valued Green Day stuff (signed stuff, tickets, picks). I keep them in my old room at my mom's house in a safe place. And she knows they're there so she does not throw them away. I almost lost a ticket and pick by leaving it in my wallet, but took them out the day before my wallet was stolen.I rarely use the CDs I buy except for importing into iTunes, at which point I don't really need them for listening to or for making new CDs, so they never go missing unless I lose them. The only "green day" item I ever lent was pair of glasses to Billie, and thankfully he returned them. I would have let him keep them though
Juju Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 after i had one friend steal 2 of my Nirvana boxed set CDs and another friend basically destroy a couple CDs i lent her, i vowed never to lend anything to anyone else ever again.i, much like you, st.jimmy92, learned my lesson the hard way.i feel your pain.

GreenDayGummyBear Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 back in '04, my i lent my own brother american idiot, bullet in a bible, and international superhits. 2 weeks later, i get the bullet in a bible case back empty (dvd lost forever )international superhits case was cracked, album art missing, cd missing, american idiot case missing, cd scratched, and in the international superhits cd... . my brother couldn't walk for a week afterwords though . i still havnt gotten my mom to replace everything yet. but the lesson here is: NOBODY (not even your own flesh and blood) can be trusted with green day stuff...
Harriet Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 This thread was making me paranoid; I'd lent someone my 21CB special edition CD! Thankfully he gave it back today though Me too! I lent Insomniac and Nimrod to one of my friends like 3 weeks ago and I haven't got them back. I heard today that her mum kicked her out of her house so I don't know when I'm going to get them back! I feel really paranoid now!!

gloria. Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 My cousin scratched up Bullet In A Bible by accident.I was really mad since everything skipped and froze.
Sharmellow Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 What the hell? Did she maybe think you were giving it to her?No, I clearly told her I was only lending it to her so that she can download the songs.K so i don't know what to say to that O.O, like i would have kicked her out of her own house or something like that...At least nobody will try to borrow me green day's cds, my friends would just download it somewhere in ares or something and besides they're not even into their music u.uI know, she's an idiot. *facepalm*
