Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Well, if any of my friends would be interested in GD, I'd send them the files of the songs they want, they can buy their own CD if they like it. Partly out of laziness, and partly to protect my stuff.Although that's kinda hypocrite, since I once ripped a paper cover of a book I borrowed from someone But I lend most other things without emotional value. I trust people too much, so I don't even think about it that they might break it.
minorityxdisturbed Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 One day I found with a friend Warning's album, I bought it and after it, we sat and I looked at it with a smile, she said me, can I see it? I give her and she looked it for a while, and then she broke by accident the housing... I'll never lend my Green Day stuff again
st.Jaey Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Oh, I forgot to share my story. So, I lent my International Super Hits album to one of my friends to, y'know, introduce their music. A few days later, I went over to my friend's house and she had taken the booklet apart and taped the pages onto her wall. I was like, "WTF? That's mine!"She was being an idiot, but eventually agreed to buy me another one. She did 2 months later...Oddly, we're still friends after that... K so i don't know what to say to that O.O, like i would have kicked her out of her own house or something like that...At least nobody will try to borrow me green day's cds, my friends would just download it somewhere in ares or something and besides they're not even into their music u.u
macu Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I don't usually lend my stuff(including Green Day's).And if I do...a)It's a copy.b)I phone the one who has my stuff all the time.c)I follow that person 'til he/she gets what they want and I take back what's mine.
Kayfabe Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Grrr....i lent 21st Century Breakdown to my friend for about 2 weeks...he gave it back today...and there was some shit spilled all over it and the pages of the book...they are stuck together and as i pulled them apart as gently as possible i still lost like half the lyrics....im furious. so if any of your geen day stuff means anything to you be very very careful who you lend it to....anyone else got a tragic story about lost or destroyed merch?ton idiote! you should have given it to him on your usb! I would beat the shit out of him with my sticky cd cover
emmaILGD! Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I never ever lend my stuff to anyone.I have had merch destroyed though, i got a Green Day cup thing for Christmas, and then my friend smashed it .But I got a new one!
Foxboro Hot Tubs Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 oh I'm really sorry for youI lend my Warning CD once and never got it back ... =(
Opezi Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 yeah i don't even lend things to my parents i let my dad borrow my psp and i still don't have it. and green day stuff. no one can borrow. you would be lucky if you could touch my more valuable green day stuff lol but my warning cd, anyone can borrow kuz by mistake i got 2 lol
emmaILGD! Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I lend my Warning CD once and never got it back ... =(Hunt the person down, and take something of theirs.
Ally Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 i can't bear to be parted with my green day stuff, i don't lend anything to anyone, i even refused to lend my dad international superhits cos i know he'll lose it
Bassgirl_1984 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 see...these stories are the reasons why I don't trust people! Call me a bitch but I would never lend my cd's to anyone...they're my life! Before my friend started burning her own cd's for her car I used to take some to listen to and take them right back in the house after I do have a story though...in highschool one of my grandmother's drunk friends was staying over for a few days...I was gone over to a friends house and once I came back I went downstairs to listen to some tuneage (basical ritual right?) Anyways...a bunch of my cd's and cases, including green day, were thrown all over the floor...I was beyond pissed! I went upstairs and said to her "What the fuck is up with what you did with my stuff?" and she said "O I just wanted to listen to your music, you have good taste" I was like... "you basically annihilated my cd collection...it's more important to me then life itself...NEVER touch it again got it?" She was basically stunned..bitch...I'll never forget that. Luckily nothing was ruined but you should have seen what it looked like...I'll never forget that.
IzButt Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 oh I'm really sorry for youI lend my Warning CD once and never got it back ... =(Oh man I'd be pissed. It took me forever to find a Warning CD. They don't seem to sell it anywhere in the area I live in surprisingly.Hunt em down till you get it.
Nele Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I lend my ISH CD once to a friend, and there were scatches all over it and the last two pages stuck together when I got it back. But it's "just" a CD that you can get pretty mucgh everywhere and so it was not a big deal. I wouldn't lend books, or rare CD's though. They just have a too big mental impact on me. And if anybody want's to lend my 21st CB copy I would just tell them to buy their own copy, just because I'm mean like that.
...staples? Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 I let my friend listen to American Idiot and I was so paranoid about it! And she was only 6 feet away from me. But that's when I first got it so I was really protective about it. If they want to listen bad enough I'll just burn them a copy. And most of my high school friends didn't like Green Day so I never had to worry about them asking for my clothes
Wolfdemon Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 If I lend a CD to someone, usually I do it when I'm at their house so they can rip the songs and hand the CD back to me right away. Other than that I don't lend people things.
Hermione Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 If I borrow something, I always make it a priority to bring it back as soon as I said I would. If the person even had to remind me once I would feel bad - why should they have to waste even a moment of their time thinking about it or nagging me when they've been kind enough to lend me something? And if I broke their stuff OF COURSE I would replace it.So I don't lend stuff to people unless I know they have the same attitude to borrowing as me. People clearly not giving a shit that I've had to ask them over and over to give something back piss me off too much!

Hermione Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 ^Haha someone nicked the 20 quid I lent them not long ago. Can you tell I'm still annoyed about it
saurus Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Some people need to chillax a tad.I have decent friends, I'd happily lend them anything.
.:Whatsername:. Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 Sometimes when I borrow things I take a while to give them back, but I would definitely make sure I didn't ruin it, and if I did by accident I'd be responsible enough to replace it for them. I'm glad I've never lent any of my stuff, Green Day or not, to anyone. My brother has lent PS2 games and gotten them back so scratched that they don't work anymore, as well as some DVD's. Doesn't matter if you're the best of friends, sometimes you just can't trust people. :/
novacaine* Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 well, I don't lend someone something I like.. the last time I borrowed something was my Twilight book to my mom, and she is a bit carefully, but when she gave it back it had some little spots in some pages.. not a big deal, but it still was bad...
Jack96 Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 If I lend a CD to someone, usually I do it when I'm at their house so they can rip the songs and hand the CD back to me right away. Other than that I don't lend people things.Yeah i usually just burn them a copy and give them that not the actual cd.
Kasmiria Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 Okay, definitely I hate it when people (especially if you WARN THEM to go protect the thing with their life) return your belongings in a state of utter crap.... and then tell you it was an accident. Luckily none of my Green Day things have been ruined, seeing I'm the craziest Green Day fan in my group of friends so they don't really bother asking, and also cause I'm overprotective of my CDs. I did however lend out a book, that I'd only read once, making SURE it was in mint condition and then watched as another friend took my friends bag and started jumping around and throwing it cause she mistook it for some other guy's backpack. Well then... the cover got totally destroyed is all I can say, and none of them were willing to buy me a new book. Grrr. Rant over.
