farley drexel hatcher Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 North Derbyshire? Huh? I meant Northampton where I live, lol, East Midlands xD I mean it could have been anywhere beginning with 'North' but I still had an inkling of hope lol
Rebel07 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I really hope they keep doing these meet and greets on this tour... hopefully in missouri when they play here.
TaylorKlinke Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I feel like crap right now. This afternoon I saw this topic so i clicked on it and couldn't believe that Green Day, my favorite band of 5 years was going to be signing autographs in Fargo.......(aka. Where I'm going to their concert.) I got so so excited....but I shouldn't have gave my hopes up because now i'm feeling the worst crushed feeling in the world. Fargo is about 1.5-2 hours from where I live and I have no way of getting there tomorrow when the mall opens.....and they're only giving out 300 wristbands. I want to meet Green Day so bad....it's a dream of mine. But after such a chance as this....i don't think that it's ever going to happen.I wish they didn't have a meet and greet in Fargo because now going to their concert isn't going to be the same. I'll just think about how I didn't get to meet them....but I guess I can get to the mall/hot topic about an hour before 2pm or something and wait for them to walk in to get autographs.....maybe get a quick picture of them walking by...who knows...
Drink Drank Punk Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Seriously? You live like, 20 minutes down the road from them.I think it's so scabby that you have to buy a CD and t-shirt in order to get the wrist band to meet them. I would pay it like, but it just seems a bit greedy. :down:In his defense its more like an hour even though he definitely knows where SF is. I agree though. you shouldnt have to spend $20 to say hi to them. Thats ridiculous.
acevideogameadict Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 They should just do old fashion and have a line.
Drink Drank Punk Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 They should just do old fashion and have a line.a mob would be way more punk rock.
Drink Drank Punk Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Or a mosh pit!!torches and pitchforks are way more awesome than running around in circles hitting people.

TaylorKlinke Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Seriously?Go back! Go back! Pictures my friend, take pictures for us. I will try to get some pictures. I'm trying to figure out what I should have them autograph...do you think I should have them sign my acoustic guitar? I'm trying to figure out something that will last a long time.

Sharmellow Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Definitely, get your guitar signed. You should get something signed that's significant to you.
Greenday_Aussie Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 Anyone going, Im desperate for a signed CD this time. $35US to the person who gets a CD signed for me.Any takers?
TaylorKlinke Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Definitely, get your guitar signed. You should get something signed that's significant to you.I don't know much guitar yet, but I want to learn more...and I think that Green Days' signatures on my guitar will inspire me more to learn. Definitely will be a collecters item too. It's also the only thing I can think of...that would last a long time. I would like them to autograph a cd or something too but I always (accidently) break all my cd cases and will probably end of losing the cd eventually. All my music is on Itunes anyway. So I think having them signing my acoustic would be perfect. I'm also thinking about writing them a letter...because there's no way I'll be able to tell them everything I want to (nor will I probably remember) when I'm up at the autograph table. Do you think that they'll take and read my letter?
TheBullwinkle Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 The only time I'd ever want to live in a Dakota. I hope they start doing this meet and greet crap at every couple of concert stops.
musicasaweapon Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 I'm very excited about this!!!! This state usually gets skipped for pretty much everything. It took us about 2 weeks to finally get headquarters of Hot Topic to say yes on a meet-n-greet with Green Day. I will be working it so I will be taking a bunch of pictures to share.

Do you think that they'll take and read my letter? You should if you really want too. I remember reading a story about the Best Buy meet and greet thing about how someone wrote a letter and gave it to Billie asking him to read it. He said he would.

What did you have to do to get them to say yes? Do share so that other cities may enjoy this as well?
