There's never a day when you don't hear of something horrible happening somewhere. Just look at Tehran right now. It's sad, really, but I'm glad that the CD (and American Idiot as well, for me) make me think about these kinds of things. Before I discovered Green Day and before American Idiot I could have cared less about what's going on in the world that didn't directly involve me. But thanks to these CD's and the songs I do care now. I've learned differently. Particularly on 21st Century Breakdown, the song 21 Guns. Soooo many things go through my mind when I listen to that song, not just war, which seems to obviously be the main idea behind it. American Eulogy does it too, especially the parts that Mike sings.yes. i totally agree. American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown have made me so much more about what is going on with the world. and since 9/11 i think that a lot more teens should be aware of what is going on in this world. seeing how we are the future we should know whats going on in this world and be able to make sense of some of it.
