Eirik Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 ^ I think Butch Vig said in an Interview, that it's a new kick-ass song, but it won't make it on the Album, because it doesn't fit in with the story of it.Wasn't that Wonderful?
Mato Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Yeah but it also wouldn't make sense to put an American Idiot song on a 21st Century Breakdown Single. It's another era again, so I don't think they would put an American Idiot song on the Single. They put Hitchin' A Ride on Wake Me Up When September ends single
Deniz. Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 it's confirmed, i think.look at this from the german offical warner website..Bis zur Veröffentlichung der zweiten Single "21 Guns" (VÖ: 24.07) aus dem aktuellen Album "21st Century Breakdown" .....'till the release from the second single "21 Guns" (release 24.07) ..bla ..bla...
Hermione Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I shall not be buying this. But it's cool for people who haven't heard Favourite Son before, not everyone has access to the internet to hear these rarer songs
94th nimrod. Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Is it for sure that Favorite Son would be on the 21 guns single? I think it's stupid, why can't they just put in a new song that we haven't heard?
.Brian Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 ^ I think Butch Vig said in an Interview, that it's a new kick-ass song, but it won't make it on the Album, because it doesn't fit in with the story of it. that was wonderful Drama Queen was mentioned in the track lists of all the magazines until the very end.
thenextsexpistol_mak Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 that was wonderful Drama Queen was mentioned in the track lists of all the magazines until the very end.im curious bout drama queen
Peter. Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 ^^...but? An American Idiot B-Side? It's not an AI B-side, its a compilation.
gmcloughlin Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetail...-1&sku=4134Its on hmv.com too.Its says its out on the 17th of July and Favourite Son is the second track
Kaddi. Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 They put Hitchin' A Ride on Wake Me Up When September ends singleNo, they didn't There were live versions of Give me novacaine and homecoming on it.
Greenday_Aussie Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Favourite Son? What in fucks name?Seriously, Green Day, a big fuck you on this one.East Jesus better have a god damn epic Bside...
.Brian Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 deniz is right. official german site says multiple times that the single is out on july 24. so it seems confirmed.
Welshy Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I'm gutted its not Drama Queen or something but it does make sense to put Favorite Son on a Green Day record, seeing as the only other way was to get that Rock Against Bush compilation. Same kinda thing happened with JAR, it was only available on the Angus soundtrack then it was put on ISH.
CoreyGregory Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 need drama queen or wonderful.what is drama queen or wonderfull
.Brian Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 what is drama queen or wonderfull21st Century Breakdown B-Sides, mentioned in several Mag's.
peepee Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Green Day have been taking one bad decision after another on this latest album. First off with the "Know your enemy" single. What the hell. Such a crappy boring song that everyone was sick of even before it was out. 21 Guns should have been the first single out of the two even if that song is boring as well. Just another version of BOBD. Putting Favorite Son as a b-side on the single is just lame. I mean, they must have recorded a bunch of songs and they put an old boring song as a b-side. Actually I think this is the end of Green Day for now. At least until the next album. 21st CB isn't all that hot.
LarryThomas Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 No, they didn't There were live versions of Give me novacaine and homecoming on it.yes they did.. there were two different "Wake Me Up When September Ends" singles released... the only difference other than the songs is that the picture on the cover was reversed

elisa Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 mhm maybe they will start to play this song live now that they put in the CD single.
Mato Posted July 4, 2009 Posted July 4, 2009 No, they didn't There were live versions of Give me novacaine and homecoming on it.YES they didn't. As a matter of fact, I own it. I own both versionsCD1 - Wake Me Up, Homecoming [Live] and Hitchin a RideCD2 - Wake Me Up and Give Me Novacaine [Live]
