J'net Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 So did I and I like to use it now for people that I don´t like I´m glad they don´t know what it means.Just be careful saying that when you're over here ... people DO know what it means, and they just might take a little bit of offense to that .
amrith888 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 i think its nazi, like 'hi hitler'but i dunnoZeig Heil is the Hitler salute and it means "Hail Victory" in German. The new album doesn't have that many "big" words. They just have a political or destructive theme to them, so if you aren't familiar with those, then it might be sort of hard. I can't really think of any 21stCB words I learned...Well, I still don't know what a Gaza is... or Nixon (time period of 72?)Nixon is associated with the travesty of Vietnam and The Watergate Scandal.......He should have been impeached, but the then Vice President Ford, who became president, pardoned him.
Anja Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Just be careful saying that when you're over here ... people DO know what it means, and they just might take a little bit of offense to that .Oh. Thanks for that warning

Luci_Minority Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 So listening to Green Day has actually expanded my vocabulary. Granted I started listening pretty young, but still. What words did they teach you? The ones I can think of right now are:VendettaVendetta is italian maybe also spanish...it means revengeAfter I heard Tré say that in BIAB, I used it all the time. and Billie inserted the phrase "you know?" into my vocabulary as well. I say it all the time now.Haha "You Know" And...Salmonella is italian too!! It's a diseaseand Beretta is a type of gun! xD
beebee7gd Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 salmonella burden grouch cross stopsscattered noosegutterwhat can i say?? i was 15 and stupid. so i can definitely say that i've learned quite a few useful words from their songs. and i'm sure that if think about it more, i'll find at least other 10 basic english words... shame on me! but at least i always looked them up. i felt guilty to let Billie sing his heart out with me not having a fucking clue about what he was saying.
