.Militza. Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Mike seems like he's not into all this attention like BJ, maybe he just doesn't like that. He usually stays quit while the interviews. Tre always makes his own way to have fun. I don't think any of them likes to do interviews. He's the frontman, so he has to answer these questions. It can't be Mike talking about lyrics if BJ wrote them. And media is pushing BJ with all this, to do covers, interviews, and stuff. And you can always see Tre and Mike approving everything he says. (Shaking their head like approving)
Jack96 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Hes not taking over hes he main songwriter and the frontman and all that so he is able to getout there.
elanorelle72 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I've noticed that Billie Joe can occasionally dominate conversations, but I wouldn't call it "taking over." Besides, he's the song writer and usually, people want to know about the lyrics and where the inspiration comes from. There's only two things that irritate me about him...one is during interviews when he portrays these blatant expressions, like he has no interest being there. He gives short, evasive answers and says very little in general. And the other thing was his reaction when they won the Grammy award in 2005...he was the only one who didn't thank the fans, even after Mike and Tre did. To me, that just felt a little strange, like non appreciative. But sure that's only my observation.I don't see it as that....sometimes we don't always know what goes on it people's minds....I don't judge him...he introspective and probably has a lot of things to deal with alot I think...but that is not a bad thingyes hes takin' over the band. i fucking hate him !your sarcasm is noticeable hon...
82 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 As it has been noted, he is the front man.and they are all pretty grown up men (deep down) so if there was a conflict I'm sure they'd sort it out.
Lauren Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Tre and Mike even stated that Billie's more of the leader, the steerer of the boat, and Mike and Tre are there to help, but they let Billie guide them. (that's no where near close to the actual quote, but the concept is the same)
Laura! Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 He is most definitely not taking over Green Day. As said a million times before he's the frontman of the band, he writes the songs and sings. And as the writer he knows the inspiration behind it and all that stuff.Plus, I've seen frontmans of other bands taking ALL the credit and not crediting the other band members.Billie definitely credits Mike and Tre A LOT. And if Mike and Tre got fed up with it do you think they'd be a band anymore if they couldn't work it out?
Isabel Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I don't see it as that....sometimes we don't always know what goes on it people's minds....I don't judge him...he introspective and probably has a lot of things to deal with alot I think...but that is not a bad thingWell yeah, everyone has their own stuff to deal with...I just never noticed anything similar from Mike and Tre. But as I said, it was just an observation on a couple of things. Sure there really is no point discussing it because at the end of the day, it's just a fan's speculation
forget_me_nots Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Mike did say in the Rolling Stone interview that Billie is the elected leader, soooo.......:whistling: It's obviously not an issue with them.but the media does single Billie out a lot. that doesn't really matter, though.
Alan86 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I agree with everyone who made the comment that he is the frontman. This is no different to any other Green Day era, the main focus is always going to be on Billie but Tré will occasionlly do something funny and take the spotlight away from him for a few seconds
SodapopDean Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 billie and mike started the band, its their band. The only one allowed to get mad is tre. and if mike gets mad, he's mature enough to talk to billie.I don't think he is. I idolize tre more then billie, and I think he tends to be in the spotlight more(with all of his crazy shinnanegins.)
14razorbacks Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Yeah, you'd think he was the singer or something the way he acts!
Robin105 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 no, no, no, no, NO. Man I wish I could close threads. Billie's the lead singer. Lead singers are always the center of attention
Hermione Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 It's so childish whenever there's an interview with just Billie and people complain about it. Finding out more about what makes such a brilliant songwriter tick doesn't take away from Mike or Tre's contribution at all. He wrote the songs, he knows the answers to the questions about them!I can't think of another band whose frontman appears to have such a total lack of arrogance and ego, and where all the bandmembers are so full of genuine admiration for each other as musicians. The guys are lifelong friends with a huge amount of respect for each other. There clearly isn't a problem.
Sharmellow Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Billie's the frontman and it's natural that he would get more attention. If Mike and Tre had a problem with it, they would say something. They get a lot of attention themselves, so it doesn't really matter like what other people on this thread said.
Rezurgam Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Tre and/or Mike (Can't remember) have said that Green Day is like a democracy, and they elected Billie as their leader, so they are fine with Billie getting more attention. It's all good.

Drink Drank Punk Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Next he will probably kick them both out so it will be a solo project.
Greenday_Aussie Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Would you prefer the band to be more like...ugh, Fall Out Boy? Thats one fucked up band, everyone hates the singer and loves that douche Pete Wenz..

Greenday_Aussie Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 In this video, Tre does seem to feel a bit shafted near then end. But Billie seems to feel bad. MehTre pissed at Billie?WTF? How does Billie understand what they are saying?! How could you not like a man with that many bad haircuts? Wut?
Drink Drank Punk Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 WTF? How does Billie understand what they are saying?! Wut?I was directing that comment at Pete Wentz.
Greenday_Aussie Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Is it really strange that in that german interview video, I cant stop staring at Billies nicely tanned arms and think he's hell cute in that video, this coming from a straight guy whos man crush for Billie has just taken a seriously gay turn

I think Billie does that to everyone. Haha.
greendayfan597 Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 He is the frontman. The singer. Singers get the most publicity cause they are the most popular.
