.Militza. Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Dunno. Mike and Tre don't seem sad to me, they get enough attention. It's just that BJ is talking about the songs, because the interviewer asks the questions for him, every frontman does that.I think they have enough years to express their feeling if something's bothering them, they even told that they did have a rocky point in their band, and they cleared it up. I think they would do it this time too, IF something's wrong.
Blueisme Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Billie secretly is taking over the world! MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
masshysteria1 Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 This same discussion happened during AI, he's the front man, naturally he'll get more attention at times
Ally Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 don't i recall Billie saying "i am green day". How can he be taking over hes the damn frontman! *rolls eyes*
IscoredWaddlesgoals Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I do get a bit fed up when people only focus on Billie (there's an interview they did backstage at Live 8 that makes me want to scream) but if Mike and Tre had a problem, I'm sure they'd say. Billie's only 1/3 of the band after all.
rage-love-life Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 He's the frontman, of course he would be the most well known out of the three and have more attention. Of course, if Mike and Tre have a problem with it, they can be big boys and take it up with him. But it seems like he always gives credit for what they do in the band, so it's not like he's taking over.
blc Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Sometimes, band members perfer someone to take more of the limelight than them. And most bands have a frontman, who the attention focuses on.Like everyone said, I'm sure if it was an issue It would have been resolved.
Sister of Grace Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Billie Joe is the Frontman. Enough said.agreed!

thisisAB Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I remember that one. I wanted to attack the interviewer.can you link that please?and yeah I agree with the things most people said about him being the frontman and all.
Nova-Caine Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I think these 3 are confident and secure enough in their friendships to not let shit like this bother them. They are amazingly close friends that live near one another and see each other most days. I think if anything did bother them they'd sort it out behind closed doors and as friends.x
The Disappearing Boy Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 billie joe is gonna take over the world.
Isabel Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 I've noticed that Billie Joe can occasionally dominate conversations, but I wouldn't call it "taking over." Besides, he's the song writer and usually, people want to know about the lyrics and where the inspiration comes from. There's only two things that irritate me about him...one is during interviews when he portrays these blatant expressions, like he has no interest being there. He gives short, evasive answers and says very little in general. And the other thing was his reaction when they won the Grammy award in 2005...he was the only one who didn't thank the fans, even after Mike and Tre did. To me, that just felt a little strange, like non appreciative. But sure that's only my observation.
theeulogy Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 billie joe is gonna take over the world. They all gonna!
Kaddi. Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 No offense, but I think this thread is pointless.Billie always got more attention than Mike and Tre, because he's the frontman, the singer and the songwriter... But I'm pretty sure that Mike and Tre don't have a problem with it and if they had, they'd talk about it. So, there's no need to worry... and if Billie had wanted to start a solo career, he could have done it after Warning when he actually thought about it, but he didn't do it, so I suppose they're all fine with him being the one who does most of the talking.
Supermodel*Robot Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 can you link that please?and yeah I agree with the things most people said about him being the frontman and all.BITCH

If you were in a band getting interviewed wouldn't you get sick and tired of being interviewed? If someone was to interview you right now about a song you wrote, you wouldn't per se go into an hour long answer for each question. Some people just can't talk for a long time in interviews. So what? Maybe he doesn't like being interviewed and that's why he doesn't say much. Interviews are awkward. As for the Grammy's if Tre and Mike already thanked the fans and Billie Joe did it, that would be pointless because the band already thanked the fans pretty much. This entire thread is really dumb and pointless. I'm surpised it hasn't been closed.
The Grateful Green Posted June 22, 2009 Author Posted June 22, 2009 im not sayying he is taking over interviews, im just saying he is taking over the band. like in the end of 21 guns why is it just him at the end and not the band....

What a goon, turn around to Mike and Tre!
chickin'pickin' Posted June 22, 2009 Posted June 22, 2009 Green Day has always been about Billie Joe more than the other two... To the band, the critics and the majority of the fans.
