ainsley_atombomb Posted June 18, 2009 Author Posted June 18, 2009 Run a Green Day site. It'll suck the fun right out kinda the same as working in a store that sells Green Day... I guess... In a way... I was afraid at first that I would get sick of them but it hasn't happened yet. I'll admit, there have been a few times where I've been sick of a certain song... like one time one of my co-workers heard the secret song on the Dookie album (All By Myself) for the first time. she thought it was the greatest song ever and played it on repeat when we were doing inventories one night and that sucked all the fun out of that song for me... But dont get me wrong. I STILL LOVE that song. I just didnt like it at the end of that shift NO, never, not at all there is undeniably no way you could have too much Green Day I could listen to them 24/7 365 days a year and would buy every single piece of Green Day merchandise ever made if I could afford itGet a job in a rock shop.... Like me. Nothing like discounted t shirts!

Thats an idea maybe I should take a part time job in one, I could use the extra money
greendayfan597 Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 NO! I listen to Green Day everyday for a good portion of my day. Having 80 or so GD songs on my iPod, i dont get sick of them all at once. There is no such thing.
miss green day Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I don't think there is. For me, anyway.I don't think I could listen to 'em ALL the time, but as other Green Day related things go, I don't think I could get enough of them.
Isabel Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 There's such a thing as too much anything.THIS.I guarantee every one of you, when the time comes and you've overstayed your visit at the Green Day lodge, you will eventually get sick of them...so...Don't listen to them 12 hours a day, every single day. It only makes that day come quicker!
davegrohllover Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I don't think so. I don't think you can ever get enough of Green Day
Rebel07 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 people ask me all the time if i ever get tired of green day. my answer is always nope.
Robin105 Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 There is no such thing as too much Green Day. (I have OCGDD) I can't get enough Green Day. I have so much Green Day stuff. gdpunkdude Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 never! there could never be too much of green day! half of what's on my ipod is green day but do i ever get sick of them? never!
Angela. Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Too much Green Day? Honestly... no. I never grow tired of GD. I love listening to GD, and I could never grow bored of them. Whether I'm listening to a classic like 80, enjoying the sweet sounds of a live version of Hitchin' A Ride (for various reasons... ), or jumping around to East Jesus Nowhere, I simply love listening to GD and can't ever see myself growing bored of their music.
LilyMarie Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Not for me. I've been listening for 14 years or so, and I still get excited when I hear them on the radio. I think my family has had enough of Green Day for a while though...
Juan Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 yes, and it's not about green day, it's music in general, you need variety
Kate Austen Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 There is such a thing as "too much of anything". This includes Green Day. That is why I listen to 21st Century Breakdown in spurts. Even though I love it to death, I would burn myself out if I listened to it 20 times a day 7 days a week. Then again, I listen to like 15 bands a day. No kidding, I have a huge library of new music for 2009 alone. So I have a ton of other groups to occupy my time.
Strychnine Fink Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 they have so much music that I don't think I could ever get sick of it...if I'm tired of a certain cd, I'll listen to a different one XD
sydneygirl Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I could listen to Green Day forever but the only thing I think could be "too much" was when there was merchandise of every imaginable thing with American Idiot on it. I like some merchandise, but when the AI name is put on every single thing (and I'm sure the band had nothing to do with a lot of it) then I think it is overkill. But their music and shows? Never ever too much. Always great and leaving me wanting more.
Guest jetblackheart Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 There is no such thing as too much Green Day. (I have OCGDD) I can't get enough Green Day. I have so much Green Day stuff. You do have a lot of GD stuff. I was like that too when I was younger, I just liked other bands back then. I'd get all the merch I could find or afford, and think of those bands 24/7. It became a bit of an obsession. Now that I live alone I can't really afford anything else than the cds and maybe a t-shirt. And I have so many favorite bands that it's hard to decide which one I like the most (=which t-shirt to wear, LOL).
Farah Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 mm, nope, not for me..atleast till now it's never been like that and i don't see why it should change!
nicicky Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Yeah, I can get tired of listening to a lot of my favourite bands if I haven't heard anything else for a while. It's not like I'd ever stop loving them, I just like to listen to something new every so often.

emmaILGD! Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Green Day is about the only band that I've never got tired of. Sure there's definitely days when I don't listen to the music, but it's a healthy thing. Sometimes you need a bit of a break...even if it's only 5 minutes.
Superfizz Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Well a went through a major Green Day block a few weeks into February. I had listened to all their music to death and I thought it was starting to sound..all the same? I was dieing for them to announce their new album, so I kinda, faded away from them and started listening to McFly (yeah..I know!)..but when they announced their new album I was back in the game and ready for some Green Day love. So I guess...if they keep up with their new albums, i'll never grow sick of them...but if they choose to take another 4-5 year break..I'll probably die, lol.
