Sharmellow Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 This thread just keeps getting better and better. The arguments are getting more and more ridiculous! Anyone want popcorn? :woot" /just kidding. But there is one song I always skip - Good Riddance - only because it's so overplayed here in Regina.
Coffee409 Posted June 22, 2010 Posted June 22, 2010 No. Never. It's not possible. 16 years and I'm still having fun.
Tubbie Head Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 ^ That's awesome =) See, that's what I mean of never getting sick of them... I'm pretty sure that when I'm like 40 years old I will still listen to them with a huge smile in my face But there is one song I always skip - Good Riddance - only because it's so overplayed here in Regina. Hhaah... I love that song so much, it's my favourite GD softie (along with Viva La Gloria) I only skip that song because it always makes me cry, then... sometimes I skip songs because I'm exited to hear the ones that come next, Know Your Enemy is the one I always pass by when listening to full albums...
germackpaccone Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 oh I thought the arguments stopped yesterday So did I but some people thought otherwise. But it's over with, so forget it. Even if it is Green Day, I get tired of them. I will always have a special place in my heart for them but their music isn't as exciting as it used to be for me. I haven't been listening to them as much, which is good thing because I used to listen to them a lot, and I need a break, but I'll probably get back into them eventually.
champagne mami Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Yes, there is such thing as too much Green Day. At first, I was like "Oh no, never!" But I thought about it, and there is. Like, I do get tired if them from time to time, but I always get back into them eventually. And As much as I love Basket Case, I just think that song is overrated and I can't really listen to that song anymore, Well I can't listen to it as much as I did before.
Coffee409 Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 And As much as I love Basket Case, I just think that song is overrated and I can't really listen to that song anymore, Well I can't listen to it as much as I did before. That song is pretty much the perfect formula for pop punk!
FinkaliciousBillie(: Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I dont think there is. I just get tired of certain albums or songs. Though i must admit there are some days or weeks where i do not want to listen to Green Day at all.
petros Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Well there are sometimes that I start listening to other bands like Billy Talent or Blink 182 or John Lennon but after two or three weeks I get tired of them and I start listening to Green Day again... So I think that in every music sometime you will get tired of listening to the same songs and listen to something else but if you really like the band you will continue to listen them after a while.
Rosie May Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 I think it depends. I get tired of certain albums or songs sometimes if I hear them too much, (for example I'm kind of gone off AI (just the song) because I hear it /see the video way too much, I still like it, but I'd like a break from it for a while) but then I just take a break for a while and I can appreciate it again.
greendaygal89 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 no i dont think you can ver have too much Green Day well i cant anyways
DaaveyLad Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 no, ive been consistently been listing to green day all week at work
Heather! Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 I can go through phases where I listen to them constantly, but Idon't think I've ever had "too much." I often just feel like listening to other musice, but I don't ever get sick of Green Day.
inaBJA Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Too much Green Day , no it can't happened That 's like too much chat with the person who like/love just it can't happened
Rachel Nimrod Armstrong Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Nope there is noo such thing as too much Green Day! lol! Mommy's Little Nightmare Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Nope there is noo such thing as too much Green Day! lol! Green Day are like medication they should be listend to daily lol! I did that once. Listened to all the albums, one right after the other. Or, I used to have this thing I'd do. If I couldn't choose between a certain album... say, Dookie or Nimrod to listen to, I'd ask someone '3 or 5?' and whichever number they said, I'd listen to. Or I'd just tell them to give me a random number between 1 and 9, and I'd listen to whatever album that turned out to be. I haven't done that in a while...
Ellenkc Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I don't think I've ever had too much of them. I do go through periods were I won't listen to the music but it wouldn't be deliberate I'd just be listening to something else. Their albums and sideprojects are diverse enough not to get bored for me.
