Foxboro Hot Tubs Posted July 6, 2009 Posted July 6, 2009 Can anyone do me a favor and convert this song into MP3 so I can listen to it on my MP3 Player? Please, please, please! And maybe do the same with the other three covers I have no idea how to convert something but I have the songs in the MP3 format. so of course I can send the songs to you
Brian Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 The beginning is AMAZING! I can't explain it but it feels like a revelation when it begins.
CarmenPunkGirl Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I love it!! especialy the "you are forgiven part"
Dylan. Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 This is sort of like The Who's version of Bohemian Rhapsoy. Except longer and not as good. I'm biased though. i love Queen.
Nova-Caine Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 This has humour in it, The Who wrote a song about Ivor the Engine, the band go choo choo choo choo choo choo choo in it How can anyone fail to love this song. It's one of my dads all time faves I would actually kill to see Green Day doing this live.
Juliette Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I can't believe I only just listened to this song. Me likey

Peel Slowly And See Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 This is sort of like The Who's version of Bohemian Rhapsoy. Except longer and not as good. I'm biased though. i love Queen.Rael is better than Bohemian Rhapsody.
arian Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 This is my absolute favorite cover song.. Ever. I would die if they played it live. Probably one of my favorite songs by The Who, anyways,. But Green Day really did it justice. Fantastic.
Sarahnade. Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 This is my absolute favorite cover song.. Ever. I would die if they played it live. Probably one of my favorite songs by The Who, anyways,. But Green Day really did it justice. Fantastic.

Trina Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 This cover is just so...delicious and addictive. It's just sooooo good.
iLozza! Posted August 4, 2009 Posted August 4, 2009 I love this song and Green Day did a brilliant cover of it
Angela. Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 This cover is just so...delicious and addictive. It's just sooooo good.This.
Laura! Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 This cover is growing on me really fast. I keep listening to it now.
incendiary girl Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 This cover makes me so happy. My cousin got me into The Who when I was in middle school. This is definitely one of my favorite songs and I completely freaked out when I downloaded the cover off iTunes a few months back. Green Day covering The Who is amazing. Green Day covering "A Quick One While He's Away" blew my mind. I screamed so loud when they started playing it at MSG. The kids (literally, they could not have been older than 16) next to me were really annoyed and kept bitching about not knowing the song. Made me a little sad inside. Everyone should know this song. 1st rock opera ever.
Kaddi. Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 When I listened to it for the first time, I was like "Wtf is this? " But then it kept growing on me and now it's one of my favorite covers by Green Day.
Brian Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 i always go to this song first. My new obsession song. The beginning is so amazing!
Juan Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Green Day covered the version The Who played live, which was missing a piece with Ivor The Engine Driver (Please take a sweet.. Better be nice to an old engine driver). But The Who sings 'Girl Guide' instead of 'Girl' in the live version, which Green Day doesn't. I think those are the only differents with the The Who-version.In my opinion, the Live at Leeds version kicks so much ass!The Who - A Quick One While He's Away [LIVE AT LEEDS 1970]Will Green Day perform this masterpiece live during the World Tour?Ah, no wonder it didn't sounded all that different to me. Turns out that I've been listening to the live version all along instead of the A Quick One/Happy Jack version. Live one is better, I love Forgivenforgivenforgivenforgiven... part. Billie nails that one on the cover
jose armstrong Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 I think the released version IS the one Billie recorded all by himself, with overdubs by the others, of course.I mean, I don't remember reading this wasn't, I remember reading in rolling stone, I (think) that this IS the version he recorded by himself
persons Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 i used to like this cover alot, i still like it, i know this sounds stupid, but i'm actually starting to like the foxboro hot tubs version better, just my opinion.
